    Bet365 Woes

I've been bagging on blackjack for a long time but decided it was time to branch out and try some of the other offers around. I spied Bet365s offer, £100 deposit for £100 pre wager bonus with £4000 wager. Casino war is allowed. Seemed reasonable enough so I dove in.

Started out last night at £2 hands and very quickly dropped to the £150 mark I thought fine no problem and decided to flat bet through at £1 this morning to finish it off. This morning for every one one I won I must have lost five or six, it was ridiculous! Was soon down to £60 (so -£40 down) with much of the WR left to do. I thought screw it and started upping my stake to try and claw some back and found myself back at +£170! Then went back to flat betting with small hands and the same thing happened again was losing much more than I was winning. Eventually finished the WR with +0.50p.

Is this common on a game such as casino war? I was under the impression it was more or less a 50/50 split between dealer and player?

Its put me off quite a lot from trying some of the more difficult offers.

Thats less than the expected payout but War has a fairly high house edge because you tei 1 in 13 and then only win half of those to win one but when you lose you lose two.

Really any bonus that you get upfront i would put it all on the first hand of whatever you are playing. Some people (KasinoKing) will react with horror to that, but it really will even out in the long run and actually make you more money and in less time. Yes sometimes you will lose £100, but sometimes you will make £200+, if you do enough of them it will average out in the end its just variance. If you have done a few already and made some £s there then definitely do it as you are just using past profits so take it out of that, if you lose, oh well, it was never really your money in the first place.

It will definitely cut out sitting there for X hours and getting stressed as it falls relentlessly and having to bet bigger to get back up to a decent level (and essentially if your going to do that might as well have from the start), only to make 50p.

Other offers are in no way "harder", just possibly more risky, but if you dont take risks you will never get to drink champagne.
Have a plan and stick to it

So is it more +EV to actually play the tie on casino war? I'd been surrendering on a tie thinking there was more EV that way.

No i believ bj is excluded but it was allowed till fairly recently. regarding the tie it must nly be +ev if you surrender, you stand t lse twice as much if lose.

BJ only counts for 10% of wager requirement this month and last month Kid

Just posted this in another thread as well after researching EVness of casino war:

♠Casino War - Strategy and Odds by The Wizard of Odds

    also here:

♠House Edge of casino games compared by The Wizard of Odds

According to that last link the house edge for casino war is 2.88% if you go to war on ties or 3.7% if you surrender (ie the house will win 3.7% of the time if you surrender compared to winning only 2.88% of the time if you go to war on tie), so it's better to go to war on a tie, maybe someone else can confirm that. (Edit: Andy confirmed it above )

I play the tie, ermm that is the best strategy isnt it? God I hope so or i have been doing things very wrong for a very long time. I cant remember why i think playing the tie is better now though, God I hope it is.
hehe lol @ that... you could have had bought Norwich FC by now if it wasn't for those pesky ties

Where do you find the terms and conditions for the 365 bonus?

All I seem to find is another link to download the Casino, no actual luck on the bonus conditions.
