    Casino Etiquette

    Hey all,

Just as every beginner gambler, I want to know manners and etiquettes to follow while playing in Casinos.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

It depends on where you are. Where are you planning to gamble?

When I went to vegas the accepted was to tip a dollar for the free drinks and to tip the dealer.

I dont think you are expected to tip the dealers in the UK, you can of course but its not frowned upon if you dont either.
Have a plan and stick to it

I gamble at Vegas. Found an article at http://wagerinsider.co.uk/casino-etiquette/ which gives a complete break down of Casino Etiquette.

The dealers in my local casino aren't allowed to accept tips, so I guess it varies.

That article made me laugh... "As you sit down at a table make sure you introduce yourself. Your name and hometown is enough information but if you feel like it is not then you can offer up what profession you work in as well." Really?!?

If you play black jack do a bit of research before you play in a casino. A lot of the regulars can get quite edgy/chopsy when you stand on 16 against the dealers queen, likewise when you hit your 14 against the dealers 6

If I see one of my friends playing black jack I tend to stay away, as he is quite vocal when what he calls 'part timers' play dodgily.

My local dealers accept tips, but you are not expected to tip them.
