Welcome to the forum!
As for getting started with online casinos in general, well that was one of the main reasons I launched my website in the first place - to help newbies!
I have several pages of basic 'Beginners Guides', starting from here.
If there's anything not clear or you want any other info, just post again here or send me a PM & I will do my best to help.
There are very very few risk-free deposit match bonuses these days, however Rival casinos have small ($7-$20) no deposit, no risk bonuses to let players have a free little play on their games with a chance to cash out real money.
(I have done 3 of these where I cashed out $80 & $100 x 2).
I have a list of all Rival casinos here.
Lots of Microgaming casinos have "Play with $200 - $1000 for an hour & keep your winnings" = Risk-free if you don't win, but you need to make a small deposit & complete WRx30 if you do. Again, even if you don't win at least you get a 'feel' for how the casino works & what games they have. See the bottom half of my Freebies page.
Absolutely 100% not, you gamble and you win some and lose some. With a little bit of a head for maths and some understanding of the games you can turn the odds in your favour and make some big $s, but it is up to you to handle the variance and also take the risks. It does average out in the long run but you need to remember to bank the wins so you can take the losses in your stride.
Best place to start, hmm im not really sure. KKs site has some good offers on it but it is slots based I think. Stevo had a kind of diary you could follow, he started it last month so its pretty up to date, i think he is getting on for £1k profit.
KidPoker has some good cashback deals, you could look into those, it makes it no risk as the cashback often covers the deposit amount, but you need to be sure it tracked etc etc.
Casinos are risky, its why the rewards are so good, but if you cant lose your deposit and just shrug your shoulders, dont deposit.
