Do you think a sticky would help warning against the Martingale strategy? I prophesise that that proposal is going to come up again and again, and it would seem appropriate to warn against it at the top of the main page.

I don't think it's necessary to be honest, generally if someone is using this site/forum then by default it means they're prepared to research strategies before they go ahead and use them - so if they were contemplating using Martingale then they'd soon find out that it's flawed.
