Coin size and number query
Hello, maybe someone can answer this general 'wondering' I have?
Imagine playing a slot (using for example MG Mermaid Millions which featured in the recent Ladbrokes promotion) with my typical bet-size of around between 60-75 pence per spin.
I could play 75p by selecting 5 coins at 1p, per line.
Or I could play 60p by selecting 2 coins at 2p, per line.
Obviously there's a 15p per spin difference, but putting that to one side, is there any advantage to playing either one coin size or the other when the overall bet amount is very similar? I'm just thinking that during the Treasure Bonus, wins seem to relate to the coin size - or does it also take into account the NUMBER of coins?
I apologise if this is a stupid question, but I do find these slots complicated and I don't want to give up any potential advantage through ignorance of how they work!

No it's not a stupid question .
The short answer is the coin size won't afffect it no. I think they do all these different settings just to confuse players and make them forget it's real money.
If you are just starting out then it's best to keep to 0.01 and play max lines but low coins. These machines can be quite volatile even at 0.60. If 0.30 is available and there is autoplay then you may aswell use it.
The machine will give the same RTP no matter what the coin size. However if you don't play max lines then I believe it can affect the RTP.

No, that's not true - the number of lines played has no effect on RTP.
What it does effect is the variance; fewer lines = higher variance.
Although generally I agree newer players should stick to smaller bets until they get a "feel" for a slot, Mermaids Millions and it's 5+ clones are low variance and can usually be safely played at slightly higher stakes.
