Sup fellas (and any ladies that might have the misfortune to stumble upon us brutes!)? I thought it would be appropriate to put a thread up with all of the info I have found useful in my gambling career as far as playing and being profitable at casinos.

Let's start with the most important lesson you will ever learn in regards to online or even land casinos for that matter:

YOU CANNOT WIN LONG TERM WITHOUT A BONUS.

Casinos are established on mathematic principles which simply put give them an undeniable edge (however minute it may be) to where you will lose all of your money if you play long enough.

To play at a casino without a bonus or without some special promo is insane. You are literally giving your money to them. You may win in the short term but you cannot win in the long term.

Lesson 2

The Casino does not CHEAT!

I hear all of the time people will not play in an online casino because they cheat. This is pure ignorance. The problem is most people do not know the math at the very foundation of the casino and their games.

Blackjack is at the root of most of what will be done at the GU so lets use it as an example. Before you ever choose to hit or stand you have lost a portion of your bet. Whether you win or lose you have lost a portion of your bet. It is the same for every other game in the house.

The house edge in a standard game of blackjack is around half of a percent. .005 or .5% That means for every dollar you wager the house takes half of a penny...

Sure half a penny is not much but consider you can play 3 $1 hands of black jack a minute $3 times 60 minutes $180*.005 = $.90 an hour on a slow player min betting. if that player is betting $5 a hand it is $4.5... if they are playing 2 hands at a time it is $9 an hour if they have 10 players online that play for 3 hours a piece that is $270 in 3 hours of $5 a hand black jack...

That is just at blackjack, their lowest edge game.

The point is why cheat when the players placing the bets are doing all of the work for the house.

The Casino does not cheat because it does not have to.
