How do you know the odds of the free bet if you are basically betting by email?

Coral often do that with their freebets. And its partly how they fleeced me and srh on signups. If you're lucky they'll send you an email back telling you what bet at what odds they've placed for you before the event starts.

Really? That wasn't the way they did them a couple of years ago. I've done plenty of coral £5s (they don't send me any now!) and they were all automatic account credits.

You'll get a message with them in your Coral account folder provided you allow plenty of time. (Based on their sign up I'd allow a couple of days.)

Correct score odds are relatively stable but if you don't get a message back and the odds have dropped since you emailed, then just lay on the basis of the lower odds. (This happened to me big time on the £200 sign up - the odds on my horse plummeted and I didn't know which they'd use for my free bet. By sheer luck my bet won and they settled at the higher odds. My profit had 4 figures.)

I wonder when they place the bet for you if it will appear in your account betting history and, if so, you could just look at that to see what odds it has gone on at?

You have far more faith in Coral than me. The Cheltenham signup bonuses that were emailed in bets did not show up anywhere apart from the message they sent you back. It might even be there before the match starts, and perhaps even for the amount that it was supposed to be.

I'm pretty ambivalent on this one. To start with, BJ variance is overall very low, but only for a largish sample. Only 10 games at £1 could give a very wide range of results - could be good, could be bad.

Then there's this business of emailing the free bet in, which feels pretty dodgy. Having to email, and then hope that (a) they get the email and credit the bet, and (b) the odds are still decent by the time you know your back odds and are able to lay - assuming you dare to lay at all, if you don't get confirmation in writing ....
