The US Masters Thursday 10th April – Sunday 13th April
The end to last year’s masters on a Sunday night was quite incredible just great entertainment as he won the final hole shootout through pouring rain against Angel Cabrera and claimed the green jersey. The first time an Australian had ever won it, but was well deserved.
This year the field is wide open, and no world number 1 Tiger Woods who is out injured. It’s a credit to how long you can stay at the top of the game in golf that 19 past champions are in the field of 97 golfers – although many of these are far too past it to back, and far too long odds to lay. Expect at least one surprise though over the 4 days and in tournament trading odds will be fun to watch as players go round the hallowed course
The main favourites are as ever Rory McIllroy, Adam Scott, Angel Cabrera can he go one better and repeat his 2009 victory? There are plenty of Englishmen in the field and it would be nice to see one do well Justin Rose, Lee Westwood and even David Lynn all have potential. However expect a few twists and turns and also at least one or two surprise early runners. Calling a winner in this is probably harder than the national last week, however there are promotions galore going on we have got the best we could find below
