(Betfair) took home an award at last night’s Sport Industry awards. Betfair walked away with the Best Use of PR In a Sport Campaign for their Trash Your Tevez Shirt drive last October. It involved parking a skip outside both United and City’s stadiums before inviting fans of either team to dispose of the relevant shirt of the deposed star in exchange for a new one. They sent the shirts to Tevez’s homeland and gave them to local charities. Ironically Carlos Tevez has returned to City in the last month and been pivotal in their push for the title. Cue City fans searching around the city for that skip.
