Live on ITV from 7:30 tonight. Highlights from 10:35, again on ITV.
Chelsea have it all to do tonight to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg in Paris. In that match it couldn’t be said that Chelsea played well, but nor did they play especially badly. The main problem was the mistakes they made leading to the PSG goals. Mistakes that brought Mourinho out of his shell to say that Chelsea had scored, ‘three and a half goals’ in Paris, unfortunately most for the opposition.
Of course if the goals were of their own making it means they are not without hope tonight. With Samuel Eto’o ready to return Chelsea fans will be looking forward to seeing a striker on the pitch, and the only one that the manager actually seems to have any faith in (despite the barbs about his age earlier in the season).
Another positive for Chelsea is that PSG will be without talismanic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who suffered a thigh injury in the first leg. With strikers like Cavani ready to lead the line, Chelsea won’t see that as a massive good news story though.
Chelsea are 17/20 with PaddyPower to win the match, but a much longer 3/1 to qualify with Coral. For Chelsea to get the 2-0 they require to go through on the away goals rule you can get 8/1 at StanJames. A repeat of last week’s 3-1 which will see the match go to extra time and possibly penalties is 14/1 with SkyBet.
In terms of the first goal scorer, you could do worse than backing Hazard at 13/2 as he also steps up to take a lot of the penalties.
There are also plenty of bonus and value bets available on the match.
PaddyPower – Moneyback if Chelsea qualify
BetVictor – Moneyback if a penalty is scored
BWin – Double or treble odds if your winning first goal scorer bet goes on to get a brace or hat-trick
