Bah what a miserable day, majority of horse tracks rained off and a sizable loss to top it all, bloody Canbet, I swear I'll not do another reload with them for a long long time!
So is it not raining anywhere in the world right now?
Really, what happened at Canbet? I think they are awsome!
Have a plan and stick to it
Really!? I can't find any value whatsoever at Canbet from literally hours of searching (over the last 10 days not all in one go!), I must be doing something wrong...
I found one small possibility today on a horse, 6 to back at CB and 6.2 at Betfair, whacked on £100@6 at Canbet. I queued at 5.9 I think it was at Betfair and it never got close, topped out at 13 as it went in running!
So anyway, in running I laid £60 at 10 to at least claw back something, so basically locked in a £40 loss grr.... anyway of course, sods law, the frickin horse went on to win... insult to injury etc, now I almost certainly will have to complete the full reload WR
So on a small downer at the moment although it could have been worse, I was contemplating laying £106@7 to cover the back bet if it lost, but would have left me down a few hundred if it won (which it did!). Actually not that bothered by it really, win some lose some, it's a rare occurence thankfully which only seems to happen when I go anywhere near Canbet
So how come you think they're so awesome, where do you find value at Canbet or how do you approach the reloads?
Asian Handicap lines in Soccer are great value, and often arbs are there you just dont see them, say a team is +1/1.5 at Canbet and 1.85 at betfair with that kind of market there is probably a spread of 1.8 to 1.9 or something, put in a lay of 1.82 and wait for 3 mins, there are often "bots" working and it is taken, then mosey back to Canbet and take the 1.85 there. If you lay is not taken after a few mins cancel it and try another market.
The standard odds on AH where you get -0.5 market are also very competitive, look at that rather than match odds, they will price a team at 2.1 in the 1x2 and 2.18 in the -0.5 AH even though its the same thing!
If your first bets win there is no min odds to clear the wagering so you can just throw the whole amount on, say England to beat Andorra, fully underlay it and it costs not a lot overall (the spread diff is 0.02 or something) it takes no time to find, and since its going to win (?) you dont pay the 5% at betfair anyway.
So you blitz through the wagering throwing it all on each bet and just withdrawing a few days later. (well actually i would leave a balance and you can use it to "dutch" too, but that takes time and patience and i wouldnt actually recommend it to anyone else im a bit sad thats all)
Have a plan and stick to it
I mainly look at the AH and over/under markets on canbet. What I actually do is open up bestbetting.com, then look for value on the ou or ah markets at canbet and compare against the best elsewhere but more often than not there's nothing to be had, obviously looking at the wrong times!
I try and look in the last 10 mins before matches start but this is more down to luck than anything as to whether I look arond that time or not
I thought I was onto a good thing a while back when I found 2 over/under AH matches in a row at canbet dutching against a couple of other bookies, but since then I've not found a single thing.
The other thing I've been looking at is tennis, similar to your strategy for backing England, just looking at the out and out favs and planning on throwing a lot on in one go at very low odds, 1.5 or less. Trouble with that of course is the rule diffs (though that won't be so much of a problem now us open is in semi final round I guess)... bt even so still quite tricky. Just looking at federer now I think it was, 1.78 on canbet vs 1.8 or so on the exchanges, nothing to dutch that against at other bookies unforunately. Suppose it might be worth whacking a few hundred on and then taking a small loss.
Just been doing the accounts for the day and woot good news, turns out the horse that won paid out at SP, short and tall is I'm actually up £140 instead of down £40 as I thought I'd be!!!
Drinks are on me
well that is quite the turnaround. hah.
congrats.. and.. yeah.. it's raining here too.
Yeah man was well chuffed with that, was just about ready to roll with the loss when I found out I was actually up 4x as much as I thought I lost. Cushty.
@rain... ffs it's been raining constantly all day here, must be the wettest day of the year I reckon in UK. Just hope the race courses aren't all rained off tomorrow!
you chose to live in the UK you get rain!!!!
send some our way we need it big time (we are in a drought) I live in the direst state in the driest continent in the world...
just coming out of winter here, going to be 20 degrees here today, birds are chirping, lawn freshly cut and finals footy is here, doesnt get much better
well done at Canbet, you just gave me an idea...see the bonuses!
Yeah fair play, I wasn't so much complaining about the rain, just that it happened to match my mood at the time when I posted originally! Come 10pm at night when I was settling up and found I was actually well up instead of down, the sun magically came out hehe.
