I thought I should introduce myself as I read this forum every single day and I'm going to start contributing if I think it would be of any help (that'll probably equate to a few posts a year!)
A bit about me : -
I'm 31 and from Belfast. I played poker fulltime for a few years and also used to bet a bit on football, that led into APing and I mostly did matched betting with a few casino offers as well. I started a business online and all poker and APing basically stopped as I didn't have any free time. I thought I had it cracked and I would never be chained to a desk again. I was wrong. Due to circumstances outside of my control the business had to be wound up and I went back to working for a former employer.
Over 4.5 years later I find myself increasingly agitated about having to work, and make money, for somebody else and I'm planning my escape. (Some people might call this a mid life crisis!).
I went back to MSE a few months ago and attempted to get back into the swing of APing. From MSE I discovered this forum and since the start of the year I've devoted more time to APing. I've also been 'assisting' my OH with matched betting and have been blogging from the point of view of a new matched better trying to make some money in 2012. (I don't know what the rules are about posting URLs so I'll not post it).
My target for APing is £1000 per month. In January I was very nearly there but lost over £300 due to a mixed rules tennis bet which went against me. So far in February I'm nearly £700 up so a very good start to the month! I currently have a float of around £6500 but I'm trying to grow this so I can tackle the US offers. It I could consistently make £1500 per month then I would leave my job and, along with APing, start another business that I've been thinking about for a long time.
Thanks to everybody who contributes to this forum, it definitely makes things a lot easier. I love reading details about other peoples successes and the threads for the weekly diary and the £400 per month thread motivate me to work smarter.

Hi Neil, welcome to the forum
Quite a few on here (me incl) do this full time, and £1500 per month is definitely achievable, altho you'd really want to be using a bigger float. There's a very good thread about doing this full time in this section of the forum - well worth a read.
Also if you like a bit of poker, we do have regular TGT leagues, which only premium members can enter, and pretty small entrance fees. Keep an eye on the poker section for when the next one starts.

There's a few threads tagged with 'full time' or something like that, I will try and find them:
fulltime - Search Results - The Gambling Times
There we go, and welcome onboard Neil.

Hello Neil, what was the business you started before? What is the new one you have been thinking about? (roughly if its a secret thing and you dont want the idea nicked!).
RE Blogg posts you can make them/link to them in the UK Sportsbetting tipsters bit if you want to, you just have to put a banner up back to us too. PM me about that if you want to do it.
£1k a month is possible, but not "easy" by any means. It is certainly possible though. Good Luck!
Have a plan and stick to it

Thanks Mariner.
I don't withdraw any money from my float at the minute, and often add to it, so I'm hoping to build it enough to make a sustainable income from.
I'll definitely check out the poker section for the next game, I haven't played in a long time though (I'm getting my excuses in early!!)

Thanks Munk. I've already read all the threads about fulltime, very inspiring.

Hi Andy, I was selling t-shirts and vintage clothing on eBay. Started of small and then evolved into a decent earner. Woke up one morning to an email from eBay saying they had closed my account and I was permanently banned due to licensing issues. After pursuing this and getting legal advice I discovered that some of the t-shirts I was buying from the USA were only licensed to be sold in the USA and the license was owned by a separate company in Europe. A few days later my old boss emailed me asking if I would be interested in going back to work for him. After nearly 3 years of travelling the world and making good money doing things I loved I was back to wearing a suit in an office!
New business isn't a secret. I have a few things in mind. I dabbled in internet marketing before with moderate success. I would quite like to give it a proper go. I'm also involved with an e-commerce website at the minute that is starting to do well, I would like to get a new site set-up selling t-shirts as well.

Hello - This seems a good place to start.
My name is Hayley, and my friends call me..................Hayley!
I live in Caister-On-Sea with my pet dog Wesley, a couple of goldfish called Lambo and Culvo and a Tarantula called Grant.
I would like to earn somemoney outside of my day job and my boyfriend didn't really think prostitution was an option....So here I am!
I have been referred, walked through the basics watching a friend do thier own stuff, and now I am flying solo.
I have just deposited into Ladbrokes, Will Hill and Sky Bet, through another site (sorry but he told me too!) and have just bet £50 on each for a £60 bonus.
Now I am here and I'm here to stay.
