Hi everyone, I'm Bruce and been matched betting for 1 month now, so very new to this.
Originally from London, but moved in Sept 07 to Cornwall.
Hi Bruce welcome to the fray!
Taking the plunge!
After reading up on Matched Betting on here and over on MSE i am finally ready to take the plunge. I have quite a large float to go with so i'll be going carefully when it comes to selecting which offers to do. My son has made quite a bit from this and he has shown me how to place bets so i think i am fairly comfortable with that and can't wait to get going now.
Just thought i would post to say hello and let you know how i get on as i go along. Any advice, hints and tips of course will all be gladly received!
take it slow, try and take the best offers where possible, whether that means waiting or going through a cashback site. also, dont dive into horseracing before doing a few dry runs!
My son mentioned just to stick to the football to start with until i've got the hang of it. He told me to steer well clear of the horses for now due to the different rule changes from bookie to bookie. I have signed up to EBB and Quidco, set myself up a googlemail email account and also signed up to here and MSE. I want to take advantage of any cashback offers so i will probably join up to bookies mainly via here. My lad also mentioned i would need to be an active member on here to be able to be paid out any cashback so that isn't a problem.
Just a small point but if SueYorks is actually your real name I'd consider using something else as a username for gambling forums
I'm Sure from Yorkshire (I'm sure there are plenty of those about!) And yes i will be using totally different usernames when i sign up to the bookies. Thanks for pointing that out though.

Also Keep notes on everything its really important to keep track of everything you do and where all your money is as it is very easy to forget where some of your cash is when you have a few things going on at once. Keep a record of all usernames and passwords.
I would suggest starting with the easy bookies first places like:
to name a few, these are just first bet matched so bet £25-00 get a free £25-00 bet so are really good to sink your first few bits of matchbetting into (each site is different £25 was just an example amount).
Also keep posting on the forum as well its really nice to see how people are getting on and sometimes there are special promotions for this forum only so keep your eyes peeled for them,
Just leaves me to say good luck and have fun!
My son has opened accounts at my house using my pc when he lived here and still logs in to some of them now when he comes round so i have ordered a usb dongle internet thing which i hope will get round any IP problems. It's only £10 per month which is nothing compared to what i might be able to make overall. Certainly don't want to risk getting caught out and potentially losing a lot of money. I anticipate it to arrive in the next couple of days so when it does i will open up a Moneybookers account via here for £5 cashback.
