Hi all,
Stumbled across Mb'ing last month on MSE & after much reading have made a start. Great to get so much advice from these forums, thanks to all who contribute so much.
Currently pondering what to do when the footy season ends.
Cheers, tarsh

Hi tarsh welcome to the forum - horses are usually a good staple for the lean football months, the horse racing season generally starts to pick up as football ends and there's often as many as 40-50 races per day.

Hi s0095063 and bella
Thanks very much! I have read a lot of information my friend referred me to. I already had a betfair account so unfortunately couldn't get any kind of bonus for joining. I have recently registered with moneybookers.
I've only had time to register with a couple of bookies so far but have made a few bets/lays. So far I have just made a small profit though but I understand it takes time. My friend also advised me to look for higher free bet amounts

You don't really need to look for higher free bet amounts at the beginning, i'd say planning which book to do is important though.
I'd leave a few bigger books like coral/totesport/paddypower just now as they usually have really big offer on for cheltenham which is about 10months away.

I would say do as much as you can as quickly as you can, the offers might go up, they might go down, they might disappear altogether, nobody knows. What you can be sure of though is that by waiting you will miss out on a years worth of reload/existing customer offers and also you may be waiting for a train that never comes.
OR you may join now and take a £10 bonus only to find no reloads and in 10 months time they have a £100+ cashcredit offer with 1x wagering at any odds so it would have been better to wait. You cant know for sure. But i would join everywhere in sight as quickly as possible, you will never run out and i have never really kicked myself for doing an offer now which later got bigger as i still had my profit in the bank to console me, i have kicked myself before for putting something off and it goes completely.
Have a plan and stick to it

Ascot should be the time for you to get the big books done .. but Totesport were running a £50 offer a little back .. and thats as good as I've seen from them for recently.
