Hello there, which words exactly? There is some definitions of "cliquey" words here = The Gambling Times | Viewing Article "Gambling Definitions"
Its not comprehensive though, if you ever dont understand something just ask, nobody was born knowing any of this everyone didnt know that answer once.
Have a plan and stick to it
I think a good place to start is to get yourself a Betfair account if you don't have one already and try and get your head around how Betfair works. Essentially you're acting as a bookmaker when you use a betting exchange like Betfair, so you can accept bets from other people as well as place your own bets on events.

If you can get your head around arbing/trading on Betfair, you've can easily apply the same principals to backing at a bookmaker and laying it off at Betfair for a profit no matter what the result. This is the basic approach you would take to extract the various bonuses that bookies offer without putting your starting capital at risk.
Anyway, maybe telling you what you already know and it's really beyond the scope of this thread as well... if you need any extra info just have a good search, if you can't find it then shout on the general questions threads and someone will help. Check out the chatbox as well!
EDIT: PS - if you don't have a Betfair account already please use the TGT link here: http://www.thegamblingtimes.com/site...ch/bookmakers/ - if you need any help with that/anything else just PM me or shout on chatbox.
Hi all, been lurking for a while on TGT, getting up the courage to post. Started matched betting in January to pay off student debt, and I thank all bookies for their support in my further education! Still have to get my head round asian handicaps and dutching. Long may TGT continue.
Welcome to the forum.. took me a year to work up to asian and dutching..
There's a lot of nice sign ups and re-loads to keep you going before you need worry about these..
WOW - lost thousands.

Could n`t be accurate as I did not keep records.
I have been match betting since March 2006 and properly since October 2007 and I feel sure I have got the bookies money back and more and I always try to match my bets.
Hi guys - Just signed up so thought I would say hello.
Must admit I've never really been into gambling and despite having a father whose passion was horse racing I just never got the bug.
I was then introduced to betfair about 2 years ago and found it fascinating, I just enjoy looking for angles and still do (not found any yet though).
I only came across MB recently and initially I thought it sounded too good to be true but once I eventually got my head around the maths I couldnt wait to get started.
I'm still a rookie but I would like to take it up a level and get stuck into dutching and asian handicaps.
Hello all, just joined yesterday and have spent the last 24 hours reading through some old threads to get a feel. Been MBing for about 18 months now with good success (for me anyway) and have built a nice kitty. However I am beginning to find the way forward more challenging and am looking for something new.
I got bored recently and decided to play a few games of BJ at Hills and before I knew I was playing the Martingale system (stupid I know) to get through the WR for £25. Fortunately I came out the other side with a healthy profit and the bonus, but vowed never to do that again unless there was realistic +EV in it for me.
So I joined up to TGT for advise on casino's and will be asking questions in the next couple of days to get me started, so I hope you guys will be gentle with me!!
Hello Pigsy and welcome onboard.
