Hello and welcome to the forums!
Hello KingChilli and welcome to TGT!
We have a trading category here on TGT but there is not a lot of action going on there currently (maybe we need another trading challenge?). But if you follow what is going on in the chatbox you will find some talk about trading almost every day.
Don't hesitate to let us know if you are looking for certain information or tips. We are always looking for feedback so we can make it just a little easier for you to enjoy the site and learn new things.
First post here, only discovered this site about two weeks ago. Well, my name's dillon. I'm from the west country and I started MB a month and a half ago. Lost my previous job through ill health, and it was a combination of wanting to make a few quid and boredom that made me take the plunge. I'd actually read about MB two years back and always meant to give it a go, but went brain-dead when I tried reading threads and researching. It just seemed too complicated and out of my comfort zone.
So far not done too badly - Best, Bet 365. I got their sign-up and love their 4/1 races. Worst Bet 770 who are retaining the bonus as bettable only even though I've met their W/R and more. Gonna have to have a think about Bet 770 - reluctant to risk a winning bet with them (lay at B/F) since I can't seem to get the cash out.
Anyway, hello (waves !! )
Hello and welcome to the forums dillon!
I am sorry to hear that you lost your job. I hope that you are able to overcome your health problems and get back to work if that is what you want.
It is interesting that you have already jumped on to the 4/1 offer. That is perhaps one of the best offers in the industry, so enjoy it as much as you can. It is also very exciting so hopefully that takes care of the boredom you talked about. You are also probably aware of this, but they have a mobile bonus as well if you have not done that already.
As for Bet770 - yes it can be confusing and weird. The good thing about them is that they offer good bonuses and that their wagering requirements are relatively low. The bonus money however is a sticky. If you want to make the most out of the bonus money you have in there I would suggest underlaying. You may already be familiar with the term "treat as SNR", if so, then do that. If it wins at Bet770 then withdraw whatever is on top of the bonus money and then underlay again using the bonus part of your balance. I am not 100% sure but I think this is the way it works with them.
In any case, welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay!
Hi and thanks Nintendo2K
It was on MSE that I first saw MB but like I said it seemed difficult so I left it ... for two years ! The Bet 365 thing was just greed on my part, it was a big bonus. I should have left it till later but didn't know any better. After the WC I had no way of meeting the W/R, it was daunting. I almost chickened out and just withdrew. I kept reading on MSE about the 4/1 but footie was my thing not horses. But I took the plunge and really enjoy it. I didn't know about the mobile bonus but will check it out, thank you.
So on Bet 770, I get what you're saying. Essentially the only way to acquire the bonus money is to bust out ? I thought I understood it - had bet in excess of their requirement and just had £40 odd left. Placed a bet which won there, so £200 in there, assumed I could withdraw all but no ..... £140 (sum of original bonuses) is locked and £60 only withdrawable. Underlaying & SNR from now on.
Thank you again for the advice.
ive been matched betting for 4 weeks now, i frequent MSE a lot, theres some great info on his board too,
just thought id say hello
Hello, that is good to hear, I hope we can make it both fun and profitable (which is the two things this site is about).

My name is Bob and I live in West Yorkshire - have been match betting for about a month now - just taking it steady at the moment - made a few mistakes but nothing major.
Just like to say what a great website and forum - hope to make more posts soon
Hello Bob and welcome!
I am glad you found the site and hope you will like it here. Don't feel bad about the mistakes. We have all made them. I have to admit that it took me several months to realize that the £xx you see on the back/lay button on Betfair actually indicated the amount that was available to back and lay at the different odds. I can't tell you how many times I got myself in trouble because of that.
Slow and steady is the way to go. Eventually you will plough through offers without thinking much about it.
