Hello everyone, just thought I'd pop in and say 'hi', I'm a matched betting newbie called Catherine and this site has been recommended as essential reading and a valuable tool. I'll keep you posted as to my progress, I'm currently proud to report that my profits stand at a whopping £22-89! I apologise in advance for all the daft questions I will no doubt be asking!
Hello Catherine. A profit puts you well ahead of the National average for gambling returns. Remember to enjoy it too! Money, Money, Fun, and Money. Thats what this site is all about. I hope you enjoy it/find it usefull.

Have a plan and stick to it
Hi from me too, have just wandered over here from MSE , but I'm not one of "those" posters, honest! Have heard really good things about this forum from there so wanted to check it out
Not a newbie-newbie: discovered MB at the end of February, am currently edging over the £1000 mark but that has just been from very sporadic back/lays on the footie and Cheltenham. Cannot wait for the new football season, have been kicking my heels for weeks.
Hopfully there's some night owls on here - my MB time is around midnight when I can get to the computer!
Hi robberbutton good to have you onboard. Yes I'm waiting for the new season as well, taking a little break until it starts, quietest time of the year and all that. Look forward to seeing you (and Catherine) on the forum more.

And in answer tou your question, If I could be any type of biscuit I would be a custard cream as I may not be much to look at on the outside bit my sweetest bit is in the middle and if you pull me apart you wont be able to resist licking!
Hi there everyone, I've finally got round to signing up on this place, am usually to be found on MSE. I'm mostly a matched bettor using BF but will do the odd casino bonus if it has a low WR and is either risk-free or extremely low risk, and have been known to Dutch.
After a few months where I went off the boil a bit on the MBing front I got all revved up during the World Cup. Things seem to be quietening down a bit now though so roll on some nice footy season reloads.
I understand that from now on I'm a Norwich supporter? Fine, I'm in Cambridge so they're just down the road...
Hello emcwill and welcome!
I hope you will enjoy using this forum and that maybe you learn a thing or two.
Things are a bit quiet now on the sports side of things, but thankfully we always have horse racing to play around with. However there is obviously always more to do when we get the footy back.
Hope you get some nice reloads.. We will know soon enough.
After a bit of a slow start and then losing my internet connection for a while, moving house and the wife not realisng how important a connection is to matched betting, im finally able to resume the betting.
Have made a small profti, but have hardly touched any of the bookies so am looking forward to the footie season to start.
Have been reading a bit about the horse racing but scared of losing my profit in case i make a mistake. lol
Hello fatman1962 and welcome to TGT.
Fortunately I don't think you have missed too much, as you say football has not started yet. If you still have loads of accounts to do then I am sure you should be able to keep plenty busy.
Horse racing is great to use but as you are aware you will be using small stakes but still have huge liabilities. However if you are quick on your feet and understand the basic strategies with backing and laying, you should not have any problems. In most cases if the price moves too much against you, you can just re-back £2-3 on your lay as to not get too caught out with liabilities. This is not a beginner or pro thing. It happens to people who have been doing it for years too. It probably would not hurt if you do some "dry runs" first where you do everything you normally would do, except click the actual submit button on your back and/or lay.
Also if you are interested I would suggest reading these arrticles:

It may help you understand prices and generally give you some tips.
Let me know if you want further explanations on something or if there is anything else I can help you with.
Start off slow remember its not a race the more time you take the more profit you make .
when you are beginning dont rush into books too make a quick profit,
take your time and maximus your profit ,stick too football till your comfortable with that then move on.
A lot of books are partner friendly so sign up your OH too.
SO Best to start off uk books/big europeans then 6/12 months you will be confident to start us books.
