Hi all, thought Iíd post a quick hello. Iíve been MBing for about a year but hadnít stumbled across this site until yesterday... seems like a good community and Iím looking forward to contributing (or trying to).
Iím mainly here to learn about casino bonuses and to try and improve my MB ďtechniqueĒ. Just from browsing this afternoon Iíve read about a hundred new terms and acronyms that Iím struggling to get my head round, but I promise to keep my noobish questions to a minimum while Iím learning.
See you on the ice.
Hi mate glad you managed to sort the subscription out! Don't worry about asking stupid questions, I'm sure it'll be fine. Re the 'acronyms', there are a few acronyms that you can look up if you hover your mouse over them - like:

If there's others you can't figure out just shout on the thread below - hopefully someone will reply and I'll also add them to the acronym 'list' so they're automatically expanded when you hover over them:
Edit: Newbie midnight ramblings, nevermind
Hi, I'm Anthony and I'm from New Zealand.
I've just started Mbing in the last few weeks and while I don't expect to get rich from it, there seems to be the potential to make a fairly significant amount of money (although maybe less so for non-UK residents).
I do have a quick question about the 5 pound bonuses through TGT - are these available to people from anywhere in the world and if I open an account in a current other than GBP can I still receive the bonuses (if I deposit and wager the equivalent of £25 in whatever currency I am betting in).
Hello Anthony and welcome!
It is interesting that you bring up residency. I am not a UK resident myself and I think that the amount of +EV available to me is about the same as it is for UK people. I may even have more. There are quite a few offers that only allows UK citizens, but there are also offers that specifically excludes UK citizens. There are also offers that are better if you are not a UK citizen.
Of course this is a very individual thing, and I must admit that I believe some countries are worse off. However I have no reason to believe that you should have a lot of problem being from NZ. In fact I think there are quite few offers that are for Aus/NZ only that we are not able to get.
The only downside I see being from the other side of the world, is that a lot of the action, like UK horse racing and european football, is going on at what I would think is an unfavorable timeslot for you. There are a couple of Aussies here, so maybe they have some tips and tricks to give you.
As for the TGT fivers. Yes they are available to everyone no matter where you live. However, not all bookies (and maybe casinos) will allow you to join. You will find that for instance Betnow and Eurosportbet.co.uk only takes UK residents. And I am sure that you will get the fiver even if you use another currency. In fact, not all the bookies that have the claim £5 symbol have £ accounts. So just deposit and play around with the equivelant amount.
Since you asked about the currency situation I assume that you did read the terms and conditions for that particular promotion. I want to remind you that the promotion is as per terms and conditions only for active TGT members. This means that you would have to show an interest in what is on this site, or maybe start something that comes from your point of view.
For instance it would be interesting to know more about why you think it is less lucrative for non-UK residents. Is there anything specific you are thinking about? Do you mean less lucrative offers? Maybe it is because of the big time difference? If you want, I am sure people would be interesting if you could chronicle your journey, for instance in this thread. Have you found any good NZ/Australian (what is the deal with "TAB" bookies anyway??) bookies that we do not know about and want to share?
But there is no need to rush it. You have already introduced yourself here at the forum and that is a great first step
So welcome to the forum Anthony and I hope that you will find information that is useful or interesting to you. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave us some feedback or comments.
Hello, I think you may be the first one! Where abouts in NZ, I have been to the South Island before which was quite nice, everybody was very friendly.

Have a plan and stick to it
been hovering around this site a few weeks now and thought it about time to add to this thread. My name is Jon and I'm from London, been MBing for about 2 weeks now, loving this forum and members. Looking forward to having a few laughs and making a few quid
Welcome! ohhh two weeks wow..how we'd all like to go back to the beginning and start over .. Lots of great offers and plenty of money to be made!
Hi all, I'm Iain from Lincolnshire. I've been doing this MBing lark for a couple of years now, made about £10k from about 60 bookies. I feel I now need a bit of a support network as I am now venturing into US bookies, with all the pitfalls. Also looking to help others out where I can with my experience to date.
Welcome to the forum.
Yes US books are a good next step but you do need to make sure you understand all their T&Cs.
If you need advice, you wont get better help than from Nintendo & Kidpoker to name just two..
