Hello (again!) Lotte!
First of all thank you for introducing yourself! It was a very good post.
Ever since you got here and started posting/chatting I did have you down as experienced or advanced, but after reading your chronicles I understand that you are actually a pro \o/
I am sure a lot of people reading your post now is pulling their hair, angry that they did not find the world of casino bagging as early as you did. Personally I got in right towards the end, so I did get to enjoy those easy ones you mention, but I remember being angry that I had missed out on so many of the good offers. Casinos are no doubt harder these days, but with all the bookies we now have I feel that it compensates the lack of good casino offers. It may be more time consuming though, but still manageable. I am a bit surprised that you get away with working mainly nights/mornings and do whatever you please in the day time. It can be done but personally I need at least 3 hours of procrastinating about doing something before I actually do it I don't have two (!) houses but a tip of my hat to you madam! That is seriously well done and I can appreciate the joy of not having to pay down your mortgage, but instead go to Wales on a holiday whenever you want
I am glad that you found TGT and we are better off having you here. All your posts and chats are good and you clearly have some insight that could help others in need one day.
Hello Steve and welcome to TGT!
I have to admit that I had to google "voluntary redundancy" to fully understand what it is. I had my suspicions and they were (unfortunately??) confirmed by the old google. From reading your post I am not sure if you think it was good or bad. Seeing as it was a voluntary thing I hope that you are happy with it!
In regards to poker, we do periodically have tournaments running here. It is very casual though and usualy it is around 18-25 players involved, sometimes with added incentives for certain achievments. The buy-in is only $5 (also $5 for the one rebuy that is allowed ) so we are not at all laughing at your $125 win. In fact I think that is quite good. I have won a couple of tournaments before but never any big ones, so $125 is something I would be very happy with, and so would most of the guys who play in the tournament.. So if you want to take us on, most of us are probably equal to your skill level.
If you want some more information in regards to the tournaments and the poker league - check out these threads:
I think that now that you have some time on your hands there is lots of stuff to be done. Just don't go too crazy with the poker is my advice. I did that myself and it ended up not being fun anymore.
If you have any comments, tips or questions then shout!
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Yeah, I'm very happy to be leaving - lets see if I feel the same after 6 months
I dont have an a/c at FT, is there a RAF? I see there is 100% deposit bonus - do u know what the T&C's are on this in terms of making withdrawals?
I'll see what time I have as I find it takes a while to get used to a new site after years on a different one. Maybe see u there, can u PM me the password for the tourney in case I do decide to join? The other problem I have is the wife dont finish work till 8pm & I have to go pik her up from work, so if she's working that day I will have to give it a a miss, but will join a later one.
Ohhh, I forgot - can I make a suggestion here?
It would be good if u could get an email alert when someone replies to a forum post - unless u can already do this and I havnt found it yet
Near the top of the page you'll see 'Thread Tools' in the middle of a red bar. Choose this, and then the 'subscribe to thread' option.

Note that what CL suggested above isn't necessary if you've replied to or created a thread, you should automatically be subscribed to the thread - CL's suggestion is applicable though if you want to subscribe to a thread to which you've not posted a reply or created yourself.

And welcome to the forum!
Hehe! I'm another one who took voluntary redundancy - well my office was going to be moving where it would take me too long to get too so it wasn't that voluntary. So now I'm half looking for further employment and half match betting.
Like others I found out about it properly via MSE although that wasn't the first time I'd seen it mentioned. It was a case of scanning the net to find money making opportunities whilst I was off work.
Been at this game since March and I'm still learning a lot. Maybe one day I'll make a good living out of it but for the moment I'm making more than the minimum wage until I find a proper job.
Edit: And I've just realised that I've made 70 posts before posting in the "introduce yourself" thread! Never mind lol!
