Parents think i have a gambling problem, friends think i have a gambling problem.
Offer to double their money for them within a week maybe that'll change their minds... they'll just think you're a criminal instead then ... I think that was the reaction of some of my family / friends (not in a bad way, they just kind of said 'oh right... is that legal?')
I didn't highlight the fineries of the work involved though and the mind numbing tedioudness of it... would probably put most people off I think.
My missus knows. I'm not sure how others would react, I don't think telling my parents would be a good idea! Work colleagues; I'd like to telling them y'know gloat a little but it's probably better that I keep it quiet.
I have to say I'm not that bothered telling people I know / friends and family and I think hiding it can be pretty bad news or at least a sign of maybe a problem brewing if you've got some kind of guilty conscience about it / addiction etc. To be honest if someone said to me they would pay me for not doing what I do, I'd snap their arm off... I find it extremely tedious and very much like hard work... maybe that's the key to making it not addictive, make it as incredibly complicated with as many spreadsheets and tool applications as you can so it's just no fun whatsoever
