Biggest Ever Loss Mug Punting?
Just curious really whats the biggest loss anyone has had when mug punting? maybe before you discovered the world of match betting has anyone lost a fortune just mugging it conversley has anyone had a huge win in the same respect?
Does buying shares count?
Also what timeframe?
A one off Bet, with no offer, just a bet on an outcome = £500ish on Big Brother winner (I layed Pete)
As part of many bets i lost £750 at one point in an evening. At Yarmouth Dog track i got drunk and lost, and lost, and lost, and at one point i think i had a £250 bet lose (but i was drunk and dont fully remember and this story has been retold a lot so im not sure quite what version is true) but i kept chasing and had the next bet win it all back and more*. I was up on the night.
*This is definitely a Chinese whispers type story but it is based on truth. I had lost all my money and pretty much maxed out my cards daily limit and was starting to now borrowing money off mates. There was a dog who was 4/1, then went out to 6/1 then 10/1 and just with a minute to go he was 25/1 (I think it was a rigged race) and nobody there was touching him. I must have been the only person there to bet on him. I thought to myself (in my drunken state) "Well its only a dog, he doesnt know he isnt supposed to win it does he!", i actually said that quite loudly as i marched off down to the track to get my bet on. My dog wasnt doing too badly actually and was third and on the final bend the first two dogs ran into each other and fell over, my dog won! I was then very vocal about how much i had won, and legend has it stole a hotdog and tried to run onto the track to give it to the dog as a reward. I then began singing "were in the money" and dancing about while collecting my money. There were some not too happy looking big blokes about and i was taken home by my friends apparantly "for my own safety". It was a very very good night. I dont drink anymore.
EDIT = There was also my biggest ever "potential" loss on the Eurovision song contest a few years ago, but before the result i layed that bet off and so didnt actually lose anything. For a while i had my whole betfair balance on him though and if i left it it would have lost me thousands.
Have a plan and stick to it
I've lost over a £1k before chasing mistakes. It's very easy to do and doesnt take much to rack up a large loss.

Before realising that you could only make money from casinos if they give you some sort of cash incentive to play, Gala Casino Nottingham also probably netted a couple of hundred from me over one particular university year.
About 6 years ago, In an old job i watched a colleague win £2400 on a horse race then £1200 the race after, It took him about 15 minutes to make £3600.
That exited me a lot and it got me into gambling, I started off with £20 - £50 bets I had a good run but within the space of 2 weeks it got the better of me and I was Placing £500 bets on football, That was until I lsost every penny I had and maxed out a credit card, Thats when I realised I had issues lol.
All is good now, Credit card gone and I just enjoy matched betting and casino baging now.
I wish I could get the history up to show screen shots of my ridiculas betting but on paddy power it doesnt go that far back.
Must admit though I do get tempted to mug bet some of my profits every now and again, I have only done it once though and suprisingly enough lost haha
