Not sure about the quidco offer but you can still get £100 for switching current accounts if you apply in branch.

I have an AL Premier Direct current account which I use together with moneybookers to fund my MBing. Never had a problem with it. I've had it a while so I get 6.5% fixed interest on the first £2500. (The current offer is 5% variable for 12 months with a shared £50 RAF)

I can't see the problem with funding the account with £500 a month - I just setup a direct debit back and forth to my Salary Current Account elsewehere - the £500 doesn't have to stay in the account.

You might not even have to have a direct debit if you're 'depositing' more than £500 each month back from books/exchanges.

I'm pretty sure banks dont consider refunds from bookies as counting towards funding criteria, but I may be wrong?

i believe that is the case, otherwise I guess most of us would have no problem with the £500?
