I would give Vodafone mobile broadband a wide berth. I have just been refused a bonus at two bookies because of not having a unique IP address. I can only assume this is because vodafone aren't providing a unique IP as no-one else uses my computer or my broadband. It is weird because it was working fine for ages but just over the last week it has caused problems.

Those who have BT Broadband can get a free 1GB a month allowance by buying a dongle for them for a tenner.

Missus works for them so we now have free mobile broadband as well as free home broadband - now just need to get a netbook to use it with...

I went for a Vodafone mobile broadband dongle, because:

    1. It had one of the best signals in my area, you can check the signal strength on the networks website

    2. It had an unlimited time allowance. Unlike others where any excess credit is removed at the end of the month (such as 3 I think), Vodafone credit will stay on forever until I use it up.

    3. Was £40, but came with £15 credit pre-installed and I got £10 cashback (TCB), so pretty cheap. This was in January, not sure about the prices now.

You really have to think carefully about your usage when purchasing mobile broadband. I used mine specifically to play poker, playing regularly only managed to use about 1gb per month, so PAYG was ideal for me.

Yeah i got this a while ago, i think its £38 now but it still comes with the £15 top up included, it has been great, the credit lasts for ages, i have only used up a few pounds and ive done so much browsing with it.

Videos and flash games etc eats up your credit though so i try to stay away from these.
