Right then... Week 22
A nice week, scattered with a major mistake, inline with the diary name more of that in a second. This went well:
All started very nicely indeed finished up victor chandler's last £25 free bet and made around £18. Then managed to pull out a profit on the casino chips on the game "red dog". I'm becoming quite the little casino player, even read the rules on this one. Managed to withdraw £26 from the £25 free casino bonus after meeting the WR. Was tempted to carry on as this game can see you win £8-10 very quickly. But stuck to my ways and £26 is very nice.
Then came the mistake of the week. A qualifier on with BetUK - a £50 qualifier at that... I'm not sure if it is a pro's place ot check odds but I use odds.bestbetting.com from time to time to find nice horse odds. The way in which I work often means checking 5-10 different races for matching odds, a bit laborious to be honest but often results in good odds or "micro arbs". Back on topic - I found a pretty nice match on a race in 30mins at 4.5 v 4.8 and quickly bet and layed only £25ish. (I've played the waiting game with odds on horses a few times and more or less done ok from it by not being too greedy and getting in at a couple of clicks lower.) Anyway what I didn't realise was that I'd bet on a race that was delayed! I thought I had 30mins to go, then suddenly the odds started rising very quickly, I then looked across and saw that the race was "in play" - oh sh!t, and this race was a short race, managed to lay an extra £2 before it was all over. Of course, the horse I was backing lost. Net result = minus £21. Moral of story check the actual time before you bet (sounds obvious now I know...)
I got £17 back from bet UK on the free SNR...
£2.50 from free bingo scratchcards...
Super_dash the top bloke that he is sent over a very gratefully received £12.50 for a RAF - many thanks
I also made a whole 44p from arbs - 3 bets staking £180 overall (one of the bets I forgot about commission and lost 33p) still all practice and good fun!
Week Total: £63
Grand Total: £1,649
Next week Ascot.... Next week away with work
charts updated on the front page
Pretty chilled out week, spent a bit of time away with work. All existing account offers and no new sign-ups, may be back on it next week. Still a nice amount for me.
Highlights of the week
Used my freestake for Ken Howells and made £13 after yet another rule 4 deduction
Finally got lucky with a bogof on the U21 game on the correct score.
First ever 4/1 - only £25 stake and the overlayed horse nicely lost giving me nearly 2 quid...
Week not bad all in all, but could have done with a new sign-up - perhaps next week.
Free Scratchcards £4
Chanel 4/1 £2
Paddy Casino £10
Stan Chips £10
Ken Howells £13
Week Total: £54
Grand Total: £1,703
Why is there no graph
Have a plan and stick to it
I'm enjoying reading about your 'journey'. I keep thinking I kind of know what I'm doing with the horses, but keep striking lucky with Rule 4 in a one-sided sort of way. On Friday I did a £50 Bluesq free bet at 8/8.4 with a bit of underlay, so nothing special. When I came to check the result the horse had won and I'd got all the expected winnings from Bsq but had lost much less at BF than anticipated (odds had been reduced to 7.6 on my a/c) so I was £76 in profit. Must do some graphs too... and frame the one with that win!
just to say Im loving the graphs also.
I am a bit disappointed because you used a great "by bookie" display which really brought home how some bookies can make up a massive amount of total gains.
You appear to have dropped this graph though :-(
Yeah, rule 4 and tennis I just take the view Ill be doing so many of them they when they work for and against me will probably even out.
Hi Goroovy, chart here, glad people find them useful..
I must be due some rule 4 fun soon then as I've had around 4 go against me.
Bikertim - good work on the horse racing going well. Needless to say take care as some of those gee-gees have very high odds, which may mean lots of liability if you get (like me) get it wrong.
Thanks for the comments all, I'll keep the diary going, although the next couple of weeks I'll be away.
Yes, circus casino was a waste of time ..i busted there to.
And a bingo site is your second biggest earner!!?
And whats up with paddy's? Surely they were good for more than that?
Paddy Power was my first ever sign-up and rather foolishly I went for a £10 sign-up rather than waiting for a better offer. Still it taught me that this whole matched betting thing worked so I'm not too worried.
TAB bingo used to offer free scratchcards for cash. They then changed this so the win wasn't cashable but a bonus. I stuck the lot on a game of bingo. Pulled off a pretty sweet win of £160ish quid on a £1.30 free bingo game - lucky I guess...
I can't find Ken Howell on the front page of the site or by searching. What sort of bonus did you get there?
