Ahh I remember sasha from way (waay) back in the day, 90s rave monkey... reminds me I like that new Prodigy track (well not that new now but still)... brings back some memories that.
Norther Exposure sets are indeed from the 90's, was a bit young to be able to appreciate the music at the time (few means also) so I'm digesting it slowly now and am rather amazed at the sounds from ten years and more back, I quite like them.
Hehe nice one... I saw him once in Derby and down in London when I was down there... very smart. Not loving the later stuff he's done though.
That DJ Krush is defo worth checking out... japanese trip hop... frickin awesome hehe... there's a bunch of cool albums, fucked up pendulum, milight and holoko... not a lot recently though those were all in the 90s.
Ok my favourite album of all time I think is David Holmes, Lets Get Killed, here's one of the tracks:
Seems to have been sampled/used to fook and back, classic album every track is pure gold. Again though, nothing from him in recent years... real shame... think he went into doing movie soundtracks instead...
Going to see NIN in July in London with Jane's Addiction supporting. Been to see both bands several times over the years, but on same night it should be awesome
A few years ago NIN released a track called Only, that you could download and remix your own version of with Sony's Acid software or a mac program called GarageBand. A few artists had done stuff like it before (Bowie for one), but I thought this was the coolest thing I'd ever seen a band or artist do and spent ages playing around with my own mix.
My results were erm...best left on my own PC...but there's a whole 'open source' community for other NIN tracks here: Nine Inch Nails Open Source Remixes
