A little village in Norfolk only lives on tourism, but because of the World crisis there haven’t been any tourists for months and everyone borrows from each other to survive. One day a tourist comes, stops at the hotel and puts a £50 note on the counter when he checks in. He goes up to his room.
The hotel owner takes the note and rushes to the butcher to pay his tab as he hasn't paid for his meat that week. The Butcher accepts the note and clears his slate, they are even now. The butcher then rushes off and takes the note to the farmer to pay for his beef which has been owed for weeks. The slate is clean now.
The farmer takes the note and rushes to the local prostitute to pay her for her casual services. The prostitute takes the note and puts it on the hotel counter to pay for the room she’d been renting hourly. The note is left on the counter again.
After an hour of checking in the tourist is not happy with the room, he takes the note back off the counter and leaves.
Now nothing has been earned, nothing has been lost, but the little village is now debt free…..isn't that how we resolve the world crisis?
