My names bella... and I keep going in-play...
Can you help me cure my habit..
Thanks for admitting Bella......
I too go in play but am on the road to recovery, just taking each day as it comes
in play is the way to go!!! huge home favs on soccer.... make a killing! admittedly theres a risk... just use your experience to gauge what odds price will drop to when the home team score... whack in your lay marked as "keep" bobs your uncle... 1st goal goes in, lay gets taken making it a huge arb.... and who cares what happens after that??
Learnt my lesson on horsies.
I'd attempted to lay at 1.37 but odds shifted out so I left my bet to go in play on a nag that was 1.4 in a 4 horse race. 2nd favourite was 7+ and two outsiders over 30. You assume if it has a run and is close at the line odds will come in. Instead both outsiders fight it out and my 1.4 shot finishes.......... eventually
I tried to stay clear of going in play for a long time to minimize risk, but occasionally it'll get to the point where the game is about to go in play, the prices for laying for no loss just aren't there and I have a decision to make about what to do... quite a lot I usually lay off just half of the liability at the current price, then leave it to go in play. Obviously adds a bit of spice to the wager and generally goes OK in the end... but preferably I try and get matched up before it goes in play.
Also I have to say betting in play on test match cricket (5 days) is really good fun! I quite like to have a punt on test matches, then if I feel like it I'll trade a bit on it throughout the five days. Good thing about it is if the teams are evenly matched, the prices can swing wildly up and down throughout the five days which is ideal for trading.
Hi my name is etherz, and I am an in-play addict.
It's when those horsie odds drift out, and you think "I'll just wait untill the race starts, all the liquidity will vanish and someone will have to take my bet at marginally worse odds".
Race starts and odds shoot up even further, increasing losses.
I have started doing in play on the tennis (whilst making sure book bookies have the same rules) - I find it a lot easier to find 'arbs' although there is def a risk attached and I did end up losing £10 on one bet - however, in general I make a profit instead of a small loss for my qualifiers!!!
