The future of moneybookers bonuses?
Noticed quite a bit of concern in the us books thread about how bonuses for moneybookers drying up, books getting wise etc?
what does this mean for the future if all books stop using moneybookers?
any other e-wallets that books are ok with?

Some books have set out at times to promote the use of Moneybookers; I can think of Expekt having a particular MB signup last year (?) whereas their normal term is no MB for signup bonus. Victor Chandler also had a nice MB bonus in the last 12 months and then there are the ones through the MB promo page.
Overall though, I guess books just have to consider the pros and cons and when they see too many cons to something they eliminate it or certainly make it so unfavourable to do, few do it. A number of books much closer to home have "no Moneybookers for bonus" terms or terms which only get you a smaller bonus with Moneybookers so to that extent, it's not that much of a surprise what's been happening with the offshore books although it's not great of course (especially with what SBG have done putting an 8% withdrawal charge in without warning). And if those customers are likely to head to Neteller to do the same, you can guess how they'll treat Neteller customers etc so if it just becomes the will of the book to eliminate something it's unlikely they'll make it easy just to switch to another ewallet for the same effect otherwise there was no point in them changing how they deal with Moneybookers.
As well as books eliminating MB because it's too costly to them in terms of fees (let's just assume that's a valid reason), they may also view that geographical groups (such as Brits) are, overall, unprofitable customers; 90% of them fund using MB so what better way to get rid of them than to exclude MB from the best bonus schemes or altogether?
Most times I use MB it is solely because of the speed I expect to receive the money back, there are usually other ways to get a bonus and get paid out. With UK/Euro books it would make some difference but maybe it would be more about the speed and turnaround of money. With $ accounts and without them accepting $ ewallet accounts, it then takes some studying to see if there is a method (bank wire, western union etc) which make financial sense.

I think this may be a come and go issue for the books. And don't forget that new books start promoting themselves with exclusive MB bonuses. Right now betlaspalmas (who admittedly is slowpaying last I heard) is offering 25% sub. They haven't done so in the past. We have also seen books like sports-1 and several others offer exclusive moneybookers bonuses.
Now that the NFL season is about to start I think - for the offshore books that is - that books like SBG may go back on their 8% charge on mb/neteller payouts as they will have a more stable volume of transactions.
As for the UK/Euro books.. I am not too concerned as we can always use card or other payment options. I am sure they will go back and forth on a decision like this also.. though Betfred have always been "no bonus for mb"..
There is little doubt that ewallets is the way to go. Like here in Norway direct gambling transactions are illegal and you have to go through an ewallet or someone like Clickandbuy. I am sure other countries will follow.

How does Moneygram works in UK? It's easy (at least to get funds from the offshore bookies, I did never deposit that way) and normally the bookies covers the fees for deposits greater than X usd
Regarding the issue (that I see being a dangerous one for ourselves, like other said is just a way to keep europeans (normally moneybookers) and asian (normally neteller) baggers off the promotions
