Just taken the plunge....
And have dived in and started my matched betting adventure. 11gaz11 introduced me to the concept of it all and introduced me to this forum. He has been through pretty much everything with me, shown me what i need to read, read and read again and slowly but surely it's all beginning to make sense and sink in.
I signed up to Moneybookers using the TGT link and then signed up to Unibet again using the TGT link to take advantage of the £20 bonus/sign up offer which was added straight away to my £20 Moneybookers deposit. I think i am right in saying i should get £5 cashback from each of these once i have signed up to another 3 bookies/casinos using the TGT links should they be available for cashback? Perhaps someone could clear that one up for me!?! I've claimed for cashback from both of them just now anyway after i signed up to both and placed my bet at Unibet. I hope this is the right way to do things!!!
Managed to get a 6.75/6.4 match on a CL match this midweek so a nice little arb meaning a bit of extra profit whatever the outcome.
My matched betting pot stands at 1k so i should be able to tackle and max out most of the simple offers to start with. 11gaz11 advised me to do Victor Chandler and Bet365 as soon as possible as their offers very rarely improve as well as simpler offers like the Unibet one, Betchronicle, Jaxx and Panbet.
Perhaps someone could advise me what i have done and put so far is pretty much spot on?? Any further advice would be really apreaciated.
Cheers

Hi mate, and welcome to the forums.
http://www.thegamblingtimes.com/boar...sie-diary.html
thats my start diary ... from 1 year ago ... might give you some ideas and lots of the deals are still the same
Others around these parts like to grab what is available, but I confess to using this spreadsheet http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...NhkOSjE_tPHzKA A LOT and wherever possible, delaying a sign up that I might get more out of it at another time ... eg Eurosportbet. Obviously not if there are reloads every week, but you get my drift.
I've just come back from a hiatus and getting back into it myself.
Hope it goes well
Makybe
Cheers, Makybe !
Everything ends badly, otherwise it wouldn't end.

Yes it is not hard really and after one or two it just clicks and you will skip through them without thinking. I assume you are talking about backing/laying freebets and bonuses? We have a rough guide here:
http://www.thegamblingtimes.com/site...using-freebets
Which is a "rough" guide but we think it is best to keep it simple, there is no need to complicate it needlessly.

You seem to know exactly what you are doing. Remember to enjoy it too that can be overlooked sometimes. A more recent diary (but still out of date now even a week is a long time in this) can be found here =

Its pretty much what you have asked/said two months ago. It is good for ideas and some theory.
Unlike Makybe I am in favour of hitting everything in sight as quickly as possible taking the best deal available now, but there is Pros and Cons to both strategies. If you have any specific questions on any specific offer just ask in the relevant thread and somebody will soon offer some ideas/advice.

Not sure about the hitting everything now, where the major UK bookies are involved. It is much better to wait till the big horse racing festivals, such as Cheltenham and if you miss that, Royal Ascot.

I agree, Ladbrokes have done £200 and £250 for these meetings, instead of the usual £20 or £50 offers.

That's a tough call really. With some bookies, I would agree. The ones that rarely offer any reloads or specials.
But think about Will Hill. Say you can only get a £25 offer now, but could get a £100 offer at Cheltenham. Seems like it's worth the wait. But they offer regular freebies that add up to quite a bit. How far away is Cheltenham? If you have to wait 4 months, I think you'd make more that that £75 difference in that 4 months from the small freebies.
But take Totesport, if the same was true of Totesport (£25 now or £100 in 4 months) I would wait. They occasionally have a free £5 on games offers than can be worth about £3-£4 profit, but not that often.
So it's a tough call really. Look at Ladbrokes too, you can get £200 at Cheltenam often and probably something like £50 now through the racing post. But their casino offers could be worth FAR more than £150 in 4 months of grinding away on them (if you do casinos of course ).
So it's not quite as simple as 'wait for the big races' and it's not quite as simple as 'sign up NOW whatever offer they have', you have to look at each bookie really.

This is actually a bit of a debate. It's true that the major UK Books have historically had good offers on major sporting events, but you have to consider whether waiting for these offers is part of your strategy.
Whilst you can make more money out of the SUB by waiting for a better offer;
1) Is it an effective use of your time?
2) Are you missing out on reloads and special offers whilst you are waiting? (e.g. you could be missing out on a lot of profit by not doing WH BOGOF's).
3) Do you need the account to move onto Casinos etc? If you do, whilst you are waiting for Ascot or Cheltenham, you don't have the account.
Not saying either way is right or wrong, just that there are other things to consider other than the extra £150 from the SUB.

Just not true.
My personal profit from Ladbrokes bonus offers over the last three months is four figures and it has been about that every three months for as long as I can remember, there are douzens of others on this forum who would post the same, similar, or better in some cases. Mainly Casino but recently some Sportsbook freebets £10 for £10 and Gamesroom random bonuses too, etc etc. The difference between an initial £10, £100 or £200 freebet is peanuts and is neither here nor there.
WillHill had a flurry of very decent BOGOF offers out of the blue when some people were saying similar "wait for a better offer" type things, and even now the BOGOFs are marginal value it is still worth something. The Casino throws out quite a bit of EV too and this weekend about £460 worth (I wasnt part of it and that may turn into a faff actually) so really you would have done well to have an account and make it at least POSSIBLE to get the offer.
There is no hard and fast Golden rule and yes sometimes maybe you would have been better off waiting for certain offers, for example if its the week before Cheltenham then yes probably wait and see. But as a rule of thumb as im not psychic and dont know the offer will be better, offers go as often as they come and get worse as often as better, etc etc, as a rule join everything you can as quickly as you can will make you more money.
Thats my advice anyway. You can come back and shout at me when Boylesports have a £500 Christmas freebet offer and I said just take the £20
