Can a limited or 'banned from promotions' account be rescued?
Has anyone had any experience of whether it is possible to rescue a gubbed account?
Take Bet365, for example, where I was gubbed at the end of the intro bet basket. I can still get bets on for a few pounds (and therefore make a few pence on an arb ). Would there be any benefit in placing a steady supply of small bets to attempt to increase this limit.
Does the limit ever get increased / removed?

Sometimes this happens, yes. I experienced Bet365 increasing limits and now I have win limits of £200 on the Premier League when it was hardly anything previously. This happened after I started my little punting diary and was placing £1 and £2 bets with them even though all the odds I was taking were better than Pinnies. Most of them will tell you that accounts get reviewed periodically and limits can be raised when they look at the action the account had... but I wouldn't expect it to happen much in your gambling career!

Bet 365 - Don`t give up.
I have been on live chat a couple of times in the last month telling fellow gubees of B365 of my re-admittance to the 4/1 offer club.
As it would have been random as to members seeing it and it`s a quiet morning, I thought I would stick it on a thread.
Opened my 365 account in 2007 and for about 15 months used them extensively. I am 95% a horses punter and used the 4/1 offer and arbs .
Then I spotted their enhanced odds section on racing and pigged myself over a 10 day period, sometimes betting 2 or 3 in the same race.
Then came the gub mail " no more promotions, no refer a friend, etc".
At the time I was gutted, but with plenty other books alive I just moved on.
Frankly, I was pissed at them and quite a bit with myself.
Over the next few months as I watched the odds comparison sites, I could still spot 365 showing good arbtunities, so I tried a few bets with the idea that it was still a few pence profit . I also noticed that on a saturday my max win allowance jumped from the usual £30 to £50, £100 and £150 depending on the class of the race and how close to the time of the race I placed the bet.
So I trudged on this way , maybe 8-10 bets a week, till in late Feb I noticed lots of arbs so hit a lot of them and , lo and behold, I got a message in my
account in box. I thought, crap, account closure!
But no, " Are you aware of our 4/1 offer.........."
Did some 4/1 races and after about a week ( yes it did take that long to get a winner ) I had a message informing me of an acccount adjustment.
I have had a few since then and I may one day pluck up the courage to ask for a limits increase , but for now I am very content.
So , what was the reason for my return to the fold ?
No way to find out for certain, but it my have just been steady use , followed by a big burst of activity.
I hope to hear of other similar stories .

I'm amazed that after betting nothing but horse arbs (even small ones) they have welcomed you back to the fold. I have tried doing this by backing 4/4 shots in a balanced book to take advantage of bog and the like, still no success but early days. I wait in hope.

You have always been elligible for the 4/1 offer even after you were gubbed. At least that is my experience.
Initially when I was gubbed I asked if I could still do the 4/1 offer (with crap limits), and was initially told yes... they later e-mailed me that they didn't think I would be elligible..
I tried a few bets and after I won one I received the "are you aware..." message too. So everyone who's gubbed can do the 4/1 offer, but limits are crap.
Worth doing if you check 5 minutes before the off... sometimes they up limits a bit extra towards the off. Been doing it mostly for fun to earn freebies that I can punt.. not a lot of success.

For the record I got my bet365 account set to receive offers again after talking to CS and I had the "available offers" section inside my account there --- it is not there when you are completely gubbed...
But a few days after I requested a review of my limits, so cs forwarded my request to the traders.. then an hour or two later I received the gub e-mail again.
So if you ever get ungubbed at 365, don't ask for limits to be reviewed, especially not when the WC is so close and you are likely to get a reload

At one point as well as having tiny limits, when I clicked on promotions it would take me to a page saying no promotions were available to me. Limits increased after placing very small punts for my 'tipster' diary and the message about being able to do 4/1 etc appeared... now when I clicked promotions I see the list of promotions available.

If your account is dead you won't see the promotions tab at all. If you try to RAF someone you will be told by the system that you are not elligible for the RAF programme.
As far as the limits on EPL I think that is the same for everyone, £200 on 1x2 and £100 on side bets, at least on game day.

I've heard similar tales about both PaddyP and Sportingbet.
I've noticed that limits seem to go up & down on Party skins - at one point I was limited to almost nothing on all markets then suddenly I could put thousands on most things. Party also seem to offer invites depending on what you play. My g/f has mucked about in the casino & semi-regularly she'll get casino bonuses, sometimes nice no-deposit ones. I never play the casino & never get offers there. At one point my g/f made the mistake of trying Partybingo & she got nothing but bingo offers for about a year. I keep meaning to mug a few quid in the casino to see if I can trigger a few promos, maybe this thread will make me do so.
Bwin don't seem to limit but people think they do because they get limited to nothing on a few bets, however that may be simply that they happened to try a few bets on markets on which bwin had reached their own internal limit.
SJ.com don't ban as such but stop inviting you. More than once I've got back on the invite list simply by emailing and asking to be opted-in to promotions (even if your account says you are you may not be at SJ).
PaddyP are similar & I've noticed at least twice that they've changed my settings to NOT receive promo mails (not sure if this is a glitch when they upgrade their software) so I had to change them back.
Coral phone send you regular freebies through the post if you're opted-in so make sure you are.

My experience of BWIN is that they do, most definitely limit you.
I got to the stage where I couldn't get more than pennies on anything.
I was using them occasionally for arbs on most sports and quickly couldn't place a reasonable bet with them - although this may have been the market concerned as they were all weak lines.
I arbed them lots on the horses for a while, got limited, left it a while and then went back - my previous limits were still in place and they soon went down to nothing after a few horsey arbs.
