I'd like to point out that despite the fact that most people did not vote for a hung parliament, they voted in their own self interest and it just so happens that at this point in time there is no consensus on what is best for the majority of people, I would have voted for a hung parliament if that option was on the ballot paper

Dodgy back-room deals in the weeks after an election to form a roadmap for the next period of parliament are far better than dodgy policy's forced through by a majority government without any regard for what the rest of the country might be wanting.

Why not read and follow links from a few of these places. And decide for yourselves what is best for our country (ignore the name of the last one, its not what you might think, its a list of campaigns people are running to attempt to improve and open up our democracy)

On a serious note though, I was constantly surprised that anyone could consider voting Libdem when they refused to say who they'd ally with in the event of a hung parliament.

There seems to be lots of anger in some quarters (not talking about on here) that the Libs have allied with the Tories but IMO it's unjustified; if you vote for a party who refuse to say who they'll side with in the event of a hung parliament, you can't complain if they choose the side you dislike most.

OTOH anyone who voted Lib because they actually liked them for themselves & their manifesto (as opposed to tactical voting) should be happy IMO. They have ended up with far more than they can possibly have hoped, both in terms of policy & appointments.
