You realise that by linking it here and on MSE you are probably going to push it to the top of their most viewed list, which is on the front page of the site, and therefore you are basically advertising it to many more guardian readers who wouldnt normally be able to find it?

Yes, and every time someone comes along and makes a reply it gets bumped again...

If you don't like it just don't say anything or (not the case here but still For Your Information) if you think a post / thread is offensive, needs moving or merging etc, click 'report post' and it will be flagged to the mods. Whinging/bitching about it publicly doesn't help anyone.

Just seen this. The general public's reaction to gambling never fails to amuse me for its shocking level of ignorance. This comment in particular stands out

"Much better to do an hours overtime now & again"

Simply do not understand this mindset.

    LOL
Who was the poster of the comment you quote then ?
Most of the posters on that thread are probably not as ignorant as they first seem.
I think some were just having a laugh

I actually agree with that mindset

I supose it depends on your career & where you're at in life, or maybe I'm just getting old!?

Same here. This especially applies to doing MB at sites with dire odds and possibly dodgy sites as well as casinos... you spend so much time looking for a good match when you could in fact be doing something constructive in terms of future profits/career (I'm still a first year student so instead of doing AP activities I could e.g. learn something that might prove useful in my future job. Good command of yet another foreign language in 3-4 years' time wouldn't look too bad on my CV).

I'm actually going to slow down a bit and knuckle down to studying.
