Well, shamefully I read the Daily Mail. I don't know why, my parents have it so I ended up reading it and have continued to do so, despite the fact that there are way better papers out there. The Sun springs to mind for instance. Or perhaps Daily Sport....

Anyway, having been a DM reader for years I can tell you without doubt that all it has ever said for the past 10 years is "House Price Crash.......House Price Crash coming....we are all doomed".

Well, they said it for years and it never came, but when the recent downturn came I guess they got it right didn't they? Even so it's not as if House Prices have dropped off a cliff.

I still think there are ways and means to get a mortage at the moment - the deposit sizes are nothing out of the ordinairy historicaly, the 100% mortgages of the past few years were somewhat unusual.
