Anyone playing this game? I'm on the fence about it and if anyone has a guest pass for it (they come in the box) I'd gladly take it off your hands so I can try before I buy!

I was thinking about getting it as well, I played the original years ago and loved it and heard about SC2 after seeing a review in The Times. So what's the guest pass about then - how can you play it if you don't have the installation disks etc, is it all downloaded from online? I want one as well, form an orderly queue (think we might be waiting a while tbh!).

I've been told if you buy the game you get 2 guest passes. They allow someone else full access to the game for 7 hours as a trial run type of thing. I think it's all pulled from Blizzard's servers so disks aren't needed, just the codes.

Ok well if I decide to buy it you can have one of my passes, not sure if I'll go for it though, I know it will just eat up way too much of my time... in fact the 7hr pass thing would be ideal for me, something to do just before the EPL starts next week.

In terms of gameplay I think SC2 will be far better than its predecessor. However... In case you haven't heard though, there's no LAN function for SC2 though. Blizzard claims it's for their "anti-piracy". SC1 soared real high due to LAN and they take it off. Blizzard's decision-making has been horrible lately.

That's a really odd decision. There's a lot to be said for hanging around with mates playing over a LAN, throwing back some beers.

Haven't played yet as I don't know how it'll run on my machine. Wish they had released a demo so I could test it.

I just ordered it today, guest passes for first come first serve.
