Hi,

Came across this some time ago: MyP2P.eu :: Live sports and Now Playing overview

Its a website that list stream links to various sports matches.

This site is great for watching US sports live (MLB, NFL, NBA etc).

Here is a quick guide.

I suggest to download streamtorrent, light and easy to use program.
Go to the website and select the game you want to watch, click on the little television. When the games are about to start you will see different links. Take the links that start with "st://XXXXXX".

Go to streamtorrent - Edit - Paste link

Mostly those ^ are just linked to from myp2p though, I usually just use myp2p to find the streams.

You might also need sopcast player, the veetle plugin, ustream plugin(?) and probably a few others (tvants? don't use it myself / never had to install it yet). I prefer sopcast broadcasts really.

Fromsport is another good one.....not much you can`t find on there including US sports

I always go for SOP Cast where possible as I find it to be rock solid. I'm sure there are new players coming out all the time, it's a big big (streaming) world out there.

Another vote for sopcast here. I watch a couple of matches a week on myp2p and most of the time sopcast is available as a choice. If not, there's generally an internet link e.g. iraqgoals to watch the match.

I've heard people talking about streaming football matches online so that if you haven't got sky sports you can watch them on your laptop.
Is this illegal? If not, how can I do this, what are some good sites?

myp2p.eu & atdhe.net are generally good sites. I believe the former also has a number of threads (P2P Programs Discussion) covering the various bits of software required to access some of the streams.

fromsport.com is also pretty good, all sorts on there...no need to download anything. As for the legality, I know there was a big fuss about a year ago with sky trying to get justin.tv closed down but they are still up and running. I don`t think there is anything to worry about from our end, will be the site owners held responsible if at all I would think.

MyP2P is down in the last week or so (they had a replacement for a while but now their whole domain is down) - anyone know of a good alternative to MyP2P (pref one that lists/indexes streams like they did so I can search for random sports events)?
