I cut down somewhat on the coffee. As evidence of this I am currently drinking Jasmine tea and not twitching.
I did not flirt with vegetarianism. Instead I started a relationship with pescetarianism. I have remained faithful to her all year.
I became nicer. My use of expletives declined in line with my withdrawal from the world. When I did leave the house I offered someone the shelter of my umbrella and averted fisticuffs between three men using only my posh accent and my rainbow wand. I also gave up my seat on the bus to a bodybuilding 20-something male. It seemed to bewilder him why a tall thin man with a rainbow wand would offer up his seat. It's those magical moments in life he'll remember when he's all saggy at 30 and looking like Lou from Neighbours. At least, that's what I told him.
I became slightly more structured. As evidence of this, I did not go for more than four weeks without shaving and collected my post each week from the mat.
I did not do someone new each day. As evidence of this, I am still not known in the locally as BOOM!Box.

Have you read 'The China Study' out of interest?
My NYRs:
- In Snoopy's thread I said that I would aim for an earnings target for the first time; so 6k profit by the end of June. I know it is doable as I've outdone that these past six months, but it might sharpen focus.
- Cut down on work hours, hopefully down to something approaching part-time status. Not to be lazy but rather so that I have time for volunteering and career change commitments.
- Take up running again. I flirted with it a while back but never made the time.

I've not, no. Is it a recommendation or something to avoid?!

It was neither really. Although it I guess it is a recommendation insomuch as that most books have something to offer.
The China Study (book) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I bought a copy of it following a mention of it during a UFC event. One of the fighters (Frank Mir, for those who want to know) apparently read this book and changed his nutritional approach to life as a result.

Is he the raw foodist gats?? I think I may have been reading about him a few weeks back - its one of my resolutions for 2012 to go all of January on a raw foods diet so quite interested in the effects it has on sports performance!

Not sure if he went 100% raw food or not. I hear he has since switched to a paleo diet.

Just one for me this year - determined to get down to 12 stone and stay there. Been 13 for ages, which aint too bad for my height (6 foot) and am in the "Ideal" BMI range, but like to get a bit off my stomach - too many Ruddles and Whetherspoon's burgers i reckon!
At the end of November / beginning of December, i tried a low (ish) carb diet and increased my running slightly - went down to 12.5 very quickly and was heading towards 12, but then it was my birthday, and since then i've probably drank the equivilent of a bottle of red a day, as well as eat rubbish.
So from January back to the "diet", and weather / legs permitting, lots of running!
Happy New Year everyone

I'm going to be strong and finaly give up doing the Jackpot Joy free games. Have been playing £2 to let me take part and when you add up all the effort over a year playing every day it can't be worth it. Never had 50 spins, best I had was 10. No more boots and silly monkey noises!

I am going to make 27K every day, in fond memories of RPOINTS.
Other than that, I will try and spend a lot less time at the PC every day.
