Nice one mate, I think Partybets and Gamebookers are now not PF but will double check this.

Right I am now underway with the old challenge and so far so good, an update will follow at the end of the week/beginning of next week. One thing that it has highlighted to me is what a challenge this will provide, have I set my sights too high? It now remains to be seen whether I will reach the stars or fall flat on my face. One thing I can guarantee though is that it will be an exciting ride.
A brief about me, as is the norm in these diaries. I am nearing the age of thirty and as the first post has mentioned am due to marry my beautiful girlfriend later this year, guaranteed bonus points if she ever reads this!!!. We have a 13 month old toddler knocking about the place who keeps us entertained and we are in our own place.
I work full time so with the family and work I can only give around 10 hours a week to MBing. I'm not afan of work like most people and ideally would like to work for myself. At the moment Pro Gambler takes my fancy but I'm a few years off that now. Or more realistically I would like to become a Primary school teacher. Only problem with that is I have no degree and don't have science GCSE. Hopefully in a few years I will have gained enough to train in this field!
I found out about MBing about 2 years ago but for some reason was put off, I was a big mug punter so understood gambling but MBing was like reading a foreign language. Also as is the story of my life my laid back attitude cost me, I would read up on it tomorrow was always my philosophy. 2 years later here I am! My early MBing experiences have hooked me in and now I begrudge placing mug punts!
MBing came to my attention whilst trying to find money making schemes on MSE. I have always been a dreamer and ultimately want the easy life and to get their doing as little work as possible. The reason for finding MSE was slightly more heartbreaking, for me anyway, than following a dream. I was in bad debt and struggling to get out of it. My girlfriend God bless her took me on knowing what hung over me and this faith inspired me to try to get out of the mess ASAP. Anyway to cut a long story short I still owe a lot of money and am working hard to pay it all off. At the moment the best way I can repay the missus is by paying off my debts at the speed of light and also giving her the perfect wedding that she deserves.
The reason for this debt is various vices e.g. booze etc but one of the main culprits was gambling. So like in all good Hollywood blockbusters not only am I on a mission to provide a better life for myself and family I am also on a mission of revenge!!!!
So ladies and gentlemen. BRING IT ON!!!!
Wishing you luck Tebs, really hope you hit your target. Congrats on the wedding etc
One day you have it........Next it's AllGone
All the best mate im sure youll make it. see you at the finish line
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
All the best with the task in hand.
If I come across anything I will be sure to point it in your direction.
I see you have a sky account.
They are Partner Friendly (Well they were when the wife signed up) and also have the loyalty program running at the moment.
Not as lucrative as the last two for which me and the missus have cleared about £75 each but still a easyish 10-15 each.
By my estimate.
Good luck with the wedding day as well
And very generous offer of throwing tips my way, they will be greatfully received.
I'm currently doing the sky loyalty thing but unfortunately the T&Cs state that its only 1 per IP address.
Thanks again for the support
Week 1. 01/01/2011 - 09/01/2011
Week 1 = 01/01/2011 – 09/01/2011.
Good morning troops.
Welcome to the first of many diary entries, as mentioned previously I will try to complete this once a week. First of all thank you to those who have already pledged their support to my challenge and also to those who have already offered assistance, hopefully there will be something in this diary that helps you out also. I’m going to set each diary entry into different sections as follows so you can pick and choose what you read; the sections are listed below with a brief explanation of what you will find here:
Profit and Loss for the week – A list of my Profit and Loss and where it has come from.
Explanation – A brief description of my experiences at the various bookies I did that week.
To Do – As it says on the tin what I need to do to progress.
Overall Stats – My overall figures for the challenge.
Profit and loss.
Arbs = £21.99
Bet 365 = -£16.85 on the 4/1 offer.
Bet 365 = -£0.52 on Mobile Qualifier
Bet at home SUB = £14.49
Betfair mobile offer = £15
Eurobet SUB = £4.89
Getwin SUB = £16.32
Sky Loyalty Qualifiers = -£0.06p
WBX SUB = -£21.63
Will Hill telephone SUB – £48.14
Total = £81.77
Arbs – This month was my first month of actually dedicating some of my time to arbing. Although the profits are only moderate I’m disappointed it has taken me this long to start doing this as it will help to bump up my income. I just do horses at the moment and usually target the build up to the off. Mild disclaimer - this is not for the faint hearted as odds are very fast moving and I can see why some avoid doing this. It’s a very strange feeling leaving £100 odd in a few accounts as I usually withdraw my winnings straight away and then move on. I must also learn to arb the football as this could be another avenue for profits.
Bet 365 – A double whammy with these jokers. Bet365 are at the top of my most hated list right now and I can’t see that changing any time soon. To cut a long story short my first few months of MBing were spent looking at the big dog, Bet365, I could not wait to get my mucky paws on this bad boy. After a few months I had sufficient float and in I went. Sadly it was one of the best days of my life. Anyway after around 6 weeks and a grand total of 10 bets on the 4/1 offer (Figures are guestimates as I don’t have access to my spreadsheet at the moment) which consisted of 9 losers they decided to limit me to £10 wins on the horses. To say I was furious was an understatement. What made me most angry was the fact that I did not hit any arbs in this time, not one. Anyway I suppose that is their bad as I can imagine I would have been a very profitable customer for them!
My anger did not stop their though. I could still get around £100 on EPL footie so I decided to take on their mobile SUB for a cheeky £50. I could still see the offer on my homepage when I was logged in. I placed my qualifier and after a few days chased up my promotional code. After a cock and bull story from live chat, apparently the offer did not exist, then I was allegedly given a code months ago without placing a qualifying bet??? I was eventually told that I had been highlighted as not profitable and would not be entitled to any promotions from Bet 365. Anyway rant over time to move on.
Bet-at-home – A nice easy SUB here made all the better by busting out. Lumped my total balance including bonus on a small arb and was out of there. If only all SUBs were this easy!
Betfair Mobile – Placed the qualifiers last year and after a bit of chasing got this credited. Another nice easy bonus.
Eurobet – Made an error in the sign up as I only deposited £10 rather than £20. This meant I got £5 SNR rather than £10 SNR, must remember to read T&Cs properly. I usually take a screen print but with this I just dived straight in. Its not all bad news though as this was my main arbing account over the weekend, so made my money back through this. Not sure how long I will last mind as I had a few winners!
Getwin – Another nice easy SUB and good odds on the CS market. Just remember to submit your ID straight away as you only have 3 days to do this before your account gets locked. Thanks to? (Sorry can’t remember your name) on live chat for pointing this out to me.
Sky Loyalty – Not much to say here apart from I have got to my first free fiver only 6p down. I’m very happy with this return although it did rely slightly on a bit of trading.
WBX – Absolute disaster is all I can say about this one. Trading to make a profit netted me £30 on the way to a free £10 bet. I just needed one more bet to get there. Greed got the better of me and I lumped £94 (my balance) on Chelsea to beat Wolves. I was sure Chelsea would win and thought worse case scenario I could trade out at HT with the score being 0-0. After 5 mins when the market suspended I was a happy boy. Smile soon wiped from face when it was Wolves 1-0. I hung around till around the 70th minute once again sure Chelsea would pull one back. In the end I traded out to make a £65 loss. Did OK on the free bet and ended up at the figure above. Disappointed after a good start and I might not go back for the other £15 SUB, the WR seems a bit steep and without taking a chance can’t see the free bets returning much profit.
Will Hill Telephone - The saviour of my week. Without this my figure would be a very sorry looking one. Thank you Billy boy.
1. Read up on Spread betting and dive in. Thanks to Ascot Ed for the offer of RAF and help.
2. Produce a list of new books to sign up to.
3. Read up on Casino offers.
4. Read up on entering the American bookies.
5. Look into arbing footie matches
I fear that my float (around £2000, I had to withdraw some) maybe too small to enter either America or Casino offers. So I may put these on the backburner. I’m also very wary of the Casino offers as although I can see they are +Ev, I’m not sure I am ready to take the losses that this brings.
To end a disappointing first week from me and I must improve. I’m sure this diary will provide ample motivation and if I needed further motivation it was the sight of my girlfriend getting upset at our finances and the fear we will not be able to afford the wedding. This has inspired me and I will be throwing everything at it this week to get back on track.
Keep the faith
Monthly Target =£143
Profit = £81.77
New Sign Ups = 5 Books
Target = £2918.23
Week 2 - 10/01/2011 – 16/01/2011
When the week started I was in quite a downbeat mood over where I was heading next. I knew that offers would arrive but looking through my list of bookies to sign upto I could not see where the next sign ups were coming from, none of them seemed to have offers on. I am looking at spreadbettting but after this it was like looking into the wilderness. Fast forward a few days and I seem to have a few irons in the fire and more sign ups than I can cope with, its funny how this game works!
I was also aware that this was going to be a slow week due to family commitments. My main days would be preoccupied with family duties which meant I was braced for a very slow week. In fact I would be happy to make £30 from it.
Profit and Loss.
Arbs = £10.82
Trading = £3.73
888 qualifier for £5 free bet = -£10.15
TGT Cashback = £30
Sky Loyalty SNR = £4.75
Sky Loyalty Qualifiers = -£3.37
William Hill Casino SUB = £50
Total = £85.78
Arbs – Same as last week really just a bit of horsey arbs at Eurobet. As mentioned above I was not at the computer for long so could not get into it properly but from what I seen Eurobet had certainly upped their game here. Every time I found an arb and clicked on the odds they changed. Hopefully not a sign of things to come!
Trading – A nice little profit here, I was flying at around £20 profit but then placed a few crazy bets that bought the profit right down.
888 - I still have the free bet to come but this is no conciliation to what should have been a nice easy £4+ profit. If I were to explain what happened here I risk making myself look very stupid, but as this a warts an all diary I will explain. I was looking for arbs and after watching the way a market was moving decided to place my qualifier on a horse that I was sure would drop the required 0.5 to make it an arb. Worst case scenario I would get out if it moved the wrong way for minimal loss. I was waiting to see what way the market went when the missus arrived back from shopping. I was talking to her and only realised that I had not layed the qualifier when I turned round to see the race in play and no green or red figures under the horses. Panic set in as my horse had drifted to double its price. I had no link to the race so was unsure how long was left. I should have just let its run its course and only been £5 down. However after waiting for a couple of mins the price did not drop so I layed £5 on it. Of course sods law struck and the nag started to come in and in the end won. It could have been a lot worse and the mistake will only cost me around £10 but I wanted to max this bonus out!
TGT Cashback – What it says on the tin but this arrived at the perfect time and makes this week look a little more respectable.
Sky – A nice match on the qualifier gave me the type of profit I look for with this offer. Qualifiers have not gone all according to plan however and through trading I have lost more than I would have liked. The plus side is that I have a free £5 to come after reaching the 10 bets milestone. My laid back attitude came to the fore again here and I missed out on plenty of stamps through not placing bets. I must kick butt into gear and really start to max these offers out!
William Hill Casino SUB – Well well well Billy boy to the rescue again. I’m not sure how many times I can ask this great man to dig me out of holes and make my weeks look respectable but I will never forget his generosity in these opening weeks (I reserve the right to change my tune towards Hills when the gubbing arrives). A nice easy????!!!! Casino win £50 on black risk free comes in and nets me £50 profit. To most people this would be a nice easy sign up but it took me an age to get my head round it and even now I don’t understand how it works. Still it took about an hour to get a rough understanding of it and in my books £50 for an hours work is good business.
1. Dive into spreadbetting. My reading is done and I am now ready to take the plunge, fingers crossed!
2. Complete WR for book I am currently working on.
Once I am out of the above I will be looking to dive into America. It is a nice coincidence that as I am preparing to enter this alien market a few others on here are to, I hope we can all help each other settle into foreign territory as smoothly as possible.
Overall an impressive week considering that I had no time to do my usual business and I have put a few irons into the fire. The next couple of weeks will be make or break. The negative mood from last week has been replaced by a renewed faith and once again I am confident I can reach my target!
Weeks left of challenge = 18
Monthly Target =£162
Weeks Profit = £85.78
New Sign Ups = 6 Books
Target = £2832.45
Week 3 – 17/01/2011 – 23/01/2011
Arbs - £11.35
Sky 2 £5 free bets (loyalty) - £8.43
Sky Qualifiers - -£21.14
888 Sport £5 free bet - £4.29
Overall - £2.93
Arbs – As usual a nice little bonus for not much work. Due to distractions I could not do much on this so am very happy from my return. I must work harder to not get distracted though.
Sky – Had a mistake when placing my Friday night qualifier when looking to back and lay result in match. Decided to use it to trade in play and just like last week the price drifted, I layed at a higher price and then the result happened. This left me £20 down. Got some back courtesy of a couple of good matches on the freebies!
888 Sport – Matched the same horse as I did for 1 of my Sky freebies to net a nice return, unfortunately went towards paying off Fridays mistake!
1. Regain my focus.
2. Not mess about with in play odds and return to the fundamentals of MBing.
3. Find some new SUBs!
Overall this looks like a very poor week and to the untrained eye it looks like I will not be getting anywhere near my target let alone meeting it. As the vultures circle however I have a trick up my sleeve a lot of this week has been spent completing a WR for a nice SUB. I have not listed it yet as I have not completed the WR, rest assured however my intrepid friends as soon as this has been signed sealed and delivered then I will be posting full details here. This aside I know I need to pick up my game and fully intend to do this. As soon as my latest WRs are complete I am heading stateside, entertainment guaranteed!!!

Thanks for reading!
Great diary Tebs, really enjoying reading this.
Can I ask what the Will Hills Casino SUB was? It's just I can't see any mention of it on their website. All I can see is their £150 SUB that has massive WR for both blackjack and roulette?
