Interesting thread Mark, do you have any theories about how non-ionising radiation causes genetic damage? Also the lack of a brain cancer pandemic, there must be a billion of these evil devices around now..
If you're putting off your studies for now, you should at least read [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bad-Science-Ben-Goldacre/dp/000728487X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1303166439&sr=1-1"]this[/ame], it's only a fiver.
Chillies neutralize radiation? This isn't serious, right?
I'd second the Bad Science book: it's an excellent read.
I think chillies are linked to suppressing Alzheimers as well aren't they? No bad science there, just pure cold anecdotal evidence.
They are also linked to the food containing tasting awesome.

the chillies part its not any chillies, its green chillies and they are excellent for the eyes also. as far as radiation goes, i have no proof of that.. i only pass on the info I got from a source which I trust.
whether it neutralizes, lowers or does anything to help your body to cope with external radiation effects, that is not up to me to tell you. and my friend whom I trust wouldn't really care to prove it to you either. he gave it to me and I enjoy the benefits of it. I'm just passing it on here so if anyone wants to try. my intention is only to give something back here...
as for anything else I've given above, the purpose is not to prove anything to someone who doesn't believe it. it's simply to pass on information that I believe to be of value. if you don't believe in any of it that's perfectly fine with me.
one thing to be careful about, not because some information is dissaproved that you can then put everything which belongs to some "xyz" category in one bag and call it as flaky. I am studying traditional indian medicine which has roots in the dravidian culture originating from 10,000 years. This has nothing to do with homeopathy or any kind of so-called "natural" medicine which has roots from some "doctor" from his "experiments" in the 18th, 19th, century , etc.
these "experiments" may not be enough to prove anything at all. they may just point towards one way or another.
the cell phone thing i cant tell you if it causes or not any cancer. the truth is up to u to find out. personally i prefer to not take any chances and I try to minimize cell phone usage. it's one task which I can control
although the signals from the wireless internet I'm getting and the fact i'm sitting at the computer for 8-12 hrs a day might be 100 times worse than a 15 minute cell phone conversation... I have no choice to work on the computer though so that is more difficult to control.
But signal waves bombarding your ear even if you don't feel any, does not mean that they are unharmful. you might believe that they are unharmful, that's fine, but don't tell me that you are 100% sure that they are harmless to your body. if you are 100% sure then you need absolute proof, which you do not have. any science experiment will not be enough to prove that.
isn't it written in most cell phone user guides that you should keep the cell phone "x" amount of space from your ear?
that must be for some reason.
and why do the governments issue radiation-level standards for cell phones? if cell phones were harmless, why would we need ot have such regulations? if not for health-related issues. what else ? lol
the practice which many so-called nature doctors or the regular doctors turned "eco" trying to understand nature in the wrong way does not mean that you should dissaprove the things that actually "work". I'll be giving here some interesting info if I find it of good value along the coming months... I only wish to give it away freely, but not to force anyone's beliefs =)
this being said I prefer not to go any further into explaining any of the medicine I study because that's not really important. I udnerstand each person has their own belief system and culture , along with their moulded environment . each person's experience brings a new perspective to things..
as far as I'm concerned, I only follow about half the things I wrote because I simply don't have the time for it.
I'm due for a 45 min walk .. :
