The laptop I bought almost 3 years ago to the day (almost), is just about finished, all sorts of blue screen issues, incapable of burning disks, hard disk playing up, feels pretty fried.
So, on a budget of say £300-£400 what do people recommend.
Clearly my main use for it is purely mb'ing, it sits on my dining room table, would not consider going back to a desktop.
Help appreciated. Even if its just a "I currently use a XXX laptop and its great"
My issue is almost identical to Nels' a couple of years ago. My laptop is 4 years old and been run into the ground. Need a new one 3-400 quid and needs to be able to cope with running a second screen as my current one can't deal with that anymore.
Any recommendations much appreciated, thanks guys.

I used to use a Mac Pro but if you use ultimatcher then you will need to run a virtual desktop with windows on as the macros don't work properly under office for mac.
It's still going strong though after nearly four years use with no signs of slowing down yet.
Also some of the hills claim now buttons don't work but not sure if that's still the case.
Just out of interest, which version of office did you have trouble with ultimatcher? I am using office365 which has been more stable for me using macros on windows.
Also, is it free to run a virtual desktop? Can you recommend one? Thanks for the advice.
