    Royal Ascot Ladies Day

I gonna treat Mrs TTWAR to a day at the races, so I thought it would be a great experience to go to Ladies day at Royal Ascot. Having never been there before, I was hoping some kind folk on here would help me with some advice on the following.

Where best to stay - Ive seen a reasonable hotel in Camberley??
Is it worth paying £100 for a coach trip (silver enclosure) with guide, plonk and food, to and from hotel? if not whats it like commuting to and from the racecourse, on a busy race day.

Any advice to get the most out of the trip would be gratefully received. I'm coming from the North west so dont know the area at all.

    Thanks in advance

    Rob

I've been to Ascot a couple of times. First time we stayed in nearby sunningdale and walked back, which was a bit of a trek.

2nd time, we stayed In Reading and got the train to Ascot which was really easy and is what I'll do when I go again.
