    Spreadsheet for Mac?

    I've tried searching but can't really find anything other than other people asking the same question.

    I used to use Ultimatcher but that doesn't work on a Mac using Excel as comes up with loads of errors. Don't think I could get TGT spreadsheet to work either last time I checked..

    Anyone who uses a Mac, do you use readily available spreadsheets or ones you've created yourself?

    I'm only in the need of storing books, how much are in them and casinos etc. Pretty simple concept really but I struggle with the Macros and buttons and stuff so would have to manually update everything if I was to create one..

    Cheers!

    This one should work on Excel or LibreOffice on any platform;

    Multimatcher Spreadsheet

    Edit; Ahh I misread that, sorry. I do my accounts manually, and don't find it a particular problem once I had established a system for myself. I don't trust vba etc (from bitter experience) so I prefer it that way.

    Hmm thanks for this post - I was considering getting a Macbook Air when I have of cash, but I use (and perhaps rely on too much) Ultimatcher, so if it doesn't work on a mac I may reconsider.

    Yeah, i've started to do it manually. It's just sometimes easier when you've got a fully automated spreadsheet and gives more info than I could create. Cheers though.

    Yeah it's definitely a shame that it doesn't work properly. I've set mine as a dual boot with windows 7 but don't fancy going into windows 7 everytime I want to match bet.

    Use parallels and a copy of windows/office. Works absolutely fine for me and once excel is open it looks like a normal application.
    Bought parallels in a macupdate bundle when it was on offer but you can get it here for £50 after currency conversion http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/212...allels-desktop

    I can also recommend Parallels. I have Excel 2011 on my macbook pro, and even though VBA was readded, the libraries needed for most PC developed spreadsheets aren't available. For APing, I run TinyXP inside Parallels. Also runs Win7 fine, but because it is on the bootcamp share, you can't put it to sleep.

    Depends what you run and how things are configured, but I'd recommend 8gb ram given you'd be running two OS's at once.
