... Cheating Vegas, a new television series set to premiere on the Destination America cable channel this Sunday (19). The show focuses on the never-ending war of wills between those who set out to cheat the casinos and the casinos’ efforts to catch the cheats in the act. The first episode focuses on the ‘eyes in the sky’ at MGM Resorts’ Aria venue, but will also address the Tran Organization’s “false shuffle” baccarat scam (which did damage to Station Casinos’ property Palace Station) as well as the 2009 point-shaving scandal involving Arizona State basketball player Stevin Smith.
Got my DVD's and half way through season 1. It's direct recorded from VCR so after watching most things in HD it has a certain crap quality feel to it and takes me right back to the 1990's.
Anyone remember them god awful BT adds with that couple. Guy looks all soft and fluffy and the woman (Esther Hall) has a real "mumsy" kind of look about her (sensible, wouldn't blow your credit card but probably wouldn't blow other things either if you catch my drift.) Not really top MILF standard but not too bad either, well she is in one of the episodes and she is smoooooooooking hot!!!

I have just finished the first season of the Newsroom which is very watchable and I enjoyed it immensely. It brings forward some quite important issues to in terms of the US media and Right Wing Republicanism (though I know little about these areas so have no idea how accurately the show reflects it all). Like a lot of Sorkin's stuff though there is a strong element of sentimentality and sometimes I felt I would have liked a slightly edgier conclusion to storylines. Clearly shares a similar sort of sensibility to something like The West Wing. I really did enjoy it though and perhaps most importantly the girl who plays the Economist presenter is very distracting indeed
I've been liking Cuckoo on BBC3, pretty good if you like The Inbetweeners.
Also not seen it yet but apparently a couple of decent C4 series are back for 2nd series - Fresh Meat and Friday Night Dinner. Need to download those, Channel 4 ads are ridiculously long on their player (can't skip them any more using adblocker etc ).
Agreed about the 4ondemand adverts munk, was 7 ads before Grand Designs when I teed it up to watch the other day (was quite an interesting show, some geeks using CAD technology to cut out plywood wood pieces to build walls on site for the clients).
Yeah mate it's ridiculous! You'd think people would stop using it with so many adverts. I have no problem with them making money from ads, but at least with a PVR you can skip through the ads, on the catchup services there's just no way to avoid watching them.
That Grand Designs sounds interesting, not watched any of those this series so far, have to check em out.
