Minnow Films Gambling Documentary
I hope you're all good.
My name is Hannah, I'm currently working as a researcher for a documentary company called Minnow Films.
We are currently working on a documentary about young gamblers in the UK with the BBC. This is not a film about so called 'car crash' or reckless gamblers. While we of course understand that gambling can have a negative impact on the lives of some, we also realise that for many it is an extremely profitable pastime which they are able to skillfully manage and control. It is these stories of gambling that we are very keen to represent.
I have contacted your forum moderator 'munk' to explain a bit about the project and request permission to post in this forum and he has very kindly given me permission to do so.
At this stage, I'm extremely keen to speak to young people who are having successful gambling careers and would be so grateful if anyone would consider having a informal chat with me over the phone. This would be off-the-record with no obligation to be involved further, it's just so helpful for me to hear from first hand experience.
From what I have learnt, it's clear that advantage play is a very complex and carefully calculated system for betting that involves a great deal of discipline. This is exactly the kind of intelligent gambling behaviour that I'm keen to learn more about. I completely understand that people may not want to discuss their betting techniques with anyone and I wouldn't expect you to do so. I am very keen to hear more about the general lifestyle that goes along with gambling. How much time does it take up? Do you do it part time along with another job or can you support yourself by betting? How did you get into it etc? I wouldn't expect you to disclose any technicalities.
You can contact me on 0207 078 8167, on firstname.lastname@example.org or by replying to this thread.
I very much hope to hear form you.
All the best,
I am colleague of Hannah at Minnow, but as she has now moved on to another project, I have been asked to do the follow up work on this documentary development. We're still very interested in speaking to any gamblers who fulfil the criteria listed above, and if there is anyone available to have a brief chat with us I can be reached on email@example.com, on 0207 078 8153 or via this thread.
Hey its nice and all that you want to do it but dont you see if the whole of uk knew about profitable gambling, then there would not be any more profitable gambling available.
why dont u do a documentary on why gambling is so compulsive?
