I don't know if anyone is interested but I've set up a TGT team (don't worry, it won't be called the TGT team just in case they're aware of our ways) for this competition: http://www.goingforgoalminutes.com/2012-2013/
It's free to enter. There are individual prizes: £1,000 for 1st place, £100 Total Goals bets for places 2-11. But there is also a Mini League competition, where the top 5 scorers in the winning Mini League win £100 Total Goals bets.
All the rules are below, it's fairly simple. A few things to add:
The winning Mini League scores have been fairly accessible in the two previous competitions I've seen. However, part of the reason for this is because, while the top 5 in the winning Mini League get prizes, it is the average of the entire team that is taken to give each team it's score. Hence, any 'passengers' in a team brings the average down. For this reason, should there be much interest in this, it might be better to split into smaller teams.
Bonus points are probably going to be vital to get near the top. So, being willing and able to place the necessary player goal minutes bets will be handy if you want to play for more than fun. There are plenty of (n)arbs between SPIN and SpreadEx so this can be done for no loss fairly easily.
PM or post below and I'll send you the team name and password.
And any questions, feel free to ask.
How to play
Going for Goal Minutes couldn’t be simpler. Here’s all you need to know about Game Three.
Game Three will run from Saturday 23rd February to Monday 1st April. You must pick 10 players from the list of Premier League squads. Four of your players must be classified as forwards, four must be classified as midfielders and two classified as defenders (goalkeepers are excluded from the game on the basis they don’t score that often!). You can pick a maximum of one player from each squad. Our easy-to-follow online entry form makes it a doddle to submit your entry.
How the scoring works
Simple - points are awarded for each minute that your chosen players score in. For example, if Wayne Rooney scores his only goal of the game in the 30th minute, he is awarded 30 points. If he scores in the 15th and 60th minutes of a game and no more, he’s awarded 75 points. Zero points are awarded if a player does not score in the game. The maximum points that a goal can be worth is 90. Premier League goals only. Own goals do not count.
You can earn bonus points for your team based on Player Goal Minutes bets placed over a specific period during each competition. Player Goal Minutes are one of our most popular spread betting markets, allowing you to be with or against a particular player in a game. You can earn bonus points as follows:
Place 5 valid and accepted player goal minutes bets (risking a minimum of £5 each) settled between Saturday 23rd February and Sunday 10th March and you’ll get an extra 100 points for your Going For Goal Minutes team.
Place another 5 valid and accepted player goal minutes bets (risking a minimum of £5 each) settled between Monday 11th March and Monday 1st April and get another 100 points for your Going For Goal Minutes team.
Please note that a bet will only be considered a qualifying bet if it has the realistic potential to win and lose £5. For further clarification on how we calculate the risk of a trade, please contact our Customer Services Team who will be happy to assist you.
Check out our Prizes page for details on what your points could earn you.

We’re giving away £1,000s worth of prizes in Going For Goal Minutes.
A £1,000 first prize goes to the entrant whose accepted team has scored the most points at the end of each game. Ten runners-up prizes of a £100 Total Goals bet (with a maximum profit of £200 to the entrant) will be distributed to places 2-11. If two or more teams share a place, the tie-breaker question shall operate. The entrant whose answer is closest to the tie-breaker shall be deemed the winner. In the event that entrants cannot be separated by the tie-breaker, the promoter reserves the right to share the relevant prize between remaining tied entrants. For example, if there remain two entrants tied for first place, the prize pool will be divided and distributed equally.
The top 5 individuals who are part of the Mini League that finishes top of the Mini League Leaderboard at the end of GFGM will receive a £100 Total Goals bet each (with a maximum profit of £200). In the event of a tie, the Mini League containing the entrant’s team with the highest individual score will win the prize. If there is still a tie then the tie-breaker answer given at the point of registration by the individuals who set up the relevant tied Mini Leagues shall be used to determine the winner. The tied entrant whose answer is closest to the tie-breaker shall be deemed the winner. In the event that managers cannot be separated by the tie-breaker, the promoter reserves the right to share the relevant prize between the tied Mini Leagues.
