Postal address /virtual residence in UK
I hope someone can answer me my question...
I found a service that's offering a virtual residence / postal address in the UK.
The website says that you can get a UK driving license when you have your postal address for at least sixth months
and that this driving license it the prefered ID document in the UK.
Is this correct?
Would it be possible for me to register with UK bookies like Paddy Power (no Germans allowed) with this document and my postal address?
It is true that DL is the preferred ID document in the UK (apart from passport). I have no idea what the residence requirement is to get a DL, though.
Many bookies require a utiity bill as well as a DL
could rent a very cheap flat or room up north somewhere that u dont ever live in
or a room off a friend... but you pay him a tenner a month to recieve mail for u
people used to do it for fairly substantial sums for school catchment areas
Thanks for your answers, guys.
I need a residence for 6 months before I can get my UK DL.
you got mail
fizz the address you use may well need to set up a bank card too
if paddy dont allow germans then just having a different address but using your normal german address for the card would flag it up i expect
youd possibly have to go to the extent of fake moving to wherever the room you rented was
very hard to convince a bank of that they are very careful now would want your uk job etc and prob check it out
how tough have germany become on bookies?
have most now banned germany or is it just paddy
I thought it should be possible to withdraw to a virtual VISA (i.e. Entropay).
But thanks for your hint. Some bookies only allow a bank account for the first withdraw.
That could be a problem.
I thought about visiting the UK in 6 months or so to get my driving license.
Do I really need a UK job before I can get a UK bank account?
I really don't know....
Germany is getting harder and harder...
Betfred sportsbook: banned
Betfair exchange: banned
188bet: no germans
Paddy Power: banned
WH sportsbook: banned
BetDaq/ Ladbrokes exchange: banned
888 sportsbook: banned
...to be continued in the coming months I think.
And than not to forget the tax of 5% a lot of the bookies are taking now.
its a tough one fizz
i remember when iv been on holiday to andorra and turkey lots of bookies sites blocked in both
i got around this by tapping into my home pc using logmein so bookies thought i was in uk
your going to have a hell of a lot of hoops to jump thru to continue being able to match bet
short of moving to a country where you can its going to be very awkward to start
youll frequently need things like a bank statement from that address or to open something for a code they send you in post
Yes, but it seems that the only problem could be the bank account.
The offer for the virtual residence that I found on the internet includes a post forwarding for that address.
I will search a bit to see if it's possible to open a bank account in the UK.
At least you won the World Cup...

If you give an address that's obviously some kind of postal service thing, it will surely ring alarm bells immediately and could also be seen as fraudulent perhaps. This is the wrong board to ask about what's available in Germany, anyway, and might give the wrong impression that Aping is only really possible in the UK. It's UK centred here. There are some sites that you can sign up to that UK residents can't like MyBet.
