Mail Fraud!! Yes!
So I requested a withdrawal from this casino a couple of weeks ago. I got on live chat with their customer service on Sunday because the check hadn't arrived yet. They gave me a tracking number and said that it had been delivered, and to check with the post office.
Long story short, the postman delivered it to the wrong address, where someone other than me signed for it and took it. I have a copy of the person's signature (he/she signed my name). The post office said they would investigate, but I began conducting my own investigation today.
I began by interviewing the people that live in the condos around me. Only one of them acted suspicious when I asked if any of my mail had been delivered to them by mistake. Everyone I asked this question answered with "let me check" and looked through their mail. But this one person (who lives across the hall from me, incidentally) just immediately said "no" and ended the conversation. This woman is at the top of my list of suspects.
It is summer here, so most of the people in my complex have gone home, which makes my list mercifully short. My next step is to interrogate the postman himself and see if he remembers which condo he delivered it to. The supervisor at the post office told me that he would talk to the postman (and that he had had "problems" with this postman before), but I don't have a lot of confidence in the post office's ability to get things done.
I have notified the casino to stop payment on the check and to resend it, but it has now been a week since it was "delivered," so I'm kind of worried that it has already been cashed.
Regardless of whether the casino can resend it right away, or if it mysteriously turns up at the post office, I intend to see this thing through to the end. Someone has already forged my signature, and I will see that person in federal PMITA* prison if I have to arrest them myself.
Any thoughts as to what I should do next, with regards to my #1 suspect?
Check pilfered from mail, main suspect is overweight Mexican girl across hall

Well the obvious 1st step is the flaming bag of poop on her doorstep.
