McBookie - refund if Boyd scores in Scottish FA Cup final

    McBookie Putting Scottish Sport First

Money back if Boyd scores on all losing First Goal / Last Goal / Correct Score / Scorecast bets

    Up to £20

This is a very good offer, similar to the VC bet offer but alas with a lower maximum refund. Boyd can be laid for less than 2. I have matched bets on this which net me a minimum profit of £7 but £30 if the score is 2-0 and Boyd does not score.

I did this one in the end, backed £10@7 on 1-0 vs about 7 on betfair, layed boyd to score on betfair for a tenner or so.

So if Boyd had scored the first goal with my 1-0 bet, I'd have been out of pocket for a tenner or so on this since they only refund losing bets (the bet would have won at mcbookie if boyd scored the only goal of the match to make it 1-0, but the 'to score' lay bet would have lost so I'd be down £10 on that)... I was aware of it but wasn't 100% sure what to do, I thought I'd lay 'no goals' in running on the 'next goal' market if it did happen (didn't get to figuring the stake since it didn't come to that in the end), would that have worked?

I did a similar thing munk, I backed 2-0 and it was only halfway through the match I realised that if it finished like that with Boyd scoring I would be in trouble. Had started trying to come up with a solution when I read on BBC that he'd been subbed off so a big relief and stopped thinking.

I think solution would have been to back the score that you had layed to try and green book equal to correct score losses or similar.
