A funny one to kick things off ...

    Hi all,

Honoured to be posting the first HandyMan hand analysis.

As hands go, this a pretty odd one to kick things off with, mainly because there is practically no strategy to speak of.

But we can take a good guess at what they were thinking.

First thing to consider is how much is in the pot to steal, since there is really nothing other than theft in the mind of Hero. But to even the most inexperienced player it will seem -EV to risk $117 to earn $6!
Interestingly Hero would take down his conveted $6 without a problem on any other day and at 99% of tables, but on this particular day he finds Unlucky 1 in a restless mood, who subsequently re-raises over the top of every other player at the table, forcing the three players behind him to put their whole stack at risk. Usually in this situation you will only see any of these three call with a minimum of JJ, and even then many players would fold JJ or even QQ - deducing correctly that there is a very high percentage they are up against AA or KK.
But, in keeping with the unorthodox nature of this hand, Unlucky 3 decides that K 5 off suit is enough to call off all his remaining chips ($138).
From this point any further comment is actually irrelevant, because however the board comes down it does not change the fact that every player has misplayed their hand and opted for a crapshoot mentality.
Hero, who risked $117 to win $6 let's remember, actually ends up winning $350 by spiking a 10 on the turn with his K 10cc, beating the supposedly re-raise-worthy KJdd and the infamous K 5os.

As we will see as these posts develop, it is often the case that the most memorable hands are the ones where players do what is least expected and shows an amazing lack of sense.

However, we are here to be entertained as much as we're here to learn, and this certainly is an entertaining hand to get the ball rolling with...

Without prior hands, we cannot determine if any one player is on tilt, or if "hero10" continually plays with bad cards...

As such the latter may give reason for Unlucky1 isolating the pot to knock out hero10 with the KJ suited, however Unlucky3 is a complete tool for calling.

Without a doubt, this hand contains the most horrible play you could hope to see from 3 of the 6 players.
