    Wink Hello from OddsMonkey!

    Hi all,

Just thought I'd drop an post in to say hello to everyone at TGT, it's nice to have our own section here and we'll be keeping a close eye on the TGT Oddsmonkey forum and try to address any questions/suggestions you have.

To answer some questions in relation to the partnership between OddsMonkey and TGT I've highlighted some points below...

+ New TGT members will get a 14 day free trial to OddsMonkey
+ New & existing TGT members will get a 25% reduction on the OddsMonkey Premium subscription price after 11th September

Please note: if you are not already aware, the price for OddsMonkey monthly subscription will be increasing to £8 from 11th September. This actually means that from 11th Sep TGT members will pay £6 instead of £8. But, obviously, if you sign up before the 11th you will get it for £5 and the price will not increase for existing OddsMonkey subscriptions. i.e. as long as you continue to have an active subscription to OddsMonkey you will only pay £5.

Hopefully that's clear, if not let me know!!

    Cheers

    Kong

I normally HATE the kind of "join now this offer cant last" type marketing it is very annoying and tacky and just crap, you should buy something if you want it not because its price is going up soon! However in this instance it is a good idea to join now (or ASAP) if you were going to anyway because it is cheapest this way (not all the features are active yet but you are already on the system and paying £5). The price is going up even with the TGT discount and although there will be more features shortly after Sept 11th that you wont get now it is probably best if you are looking for an odds finder to register at the £5 rate.

How do we go about getting the 14 day free trial? I am a registered user at Oddsmonkey and would welcome the chance to try it out before committing to the £6/month.

Hi, the free trial is only valid for new TGT members from now on I'm afraid.

But we do offer a moneyback guarantee for the first month so if you try us out (payments through PayPal) and you're not happy then just let us know and we will cancel your account and refund you.

    Hope this helps

It's not setup to work automatically yet with moneybookers (we may do in future), you can setup a manual recurring payment in moneybookers although it's not our preference as it's all manual and there may be a delay in granting your premium access etc. PayPal's much better as it's all integrated and happens automatically. Details are here

    Cheers

Signed up for a month to see what its like. Paid a fiver for the privilege. Will see how it goes. It's paid for itself already with an arb that showed up. Only had a quick play with it this morning but it seems whenever the page is refreshed and one or two new arbs are found by the time you get to the bookie (only seconds after the arb shows) the odds have already been cut and this seems to happen for the vast majority of the arbs that display. Good that it shows up horse arbs though. Will give it a good chance though before making a decison whether to continue subscribing after this month.

Signed up last night, even opened a paypal accoumt for it, and immediately got premium service. Did a couple of arbs to pay for it in a few mins. Some arbs seemed to last for quite a long time. Suppose the more people us it the quicker the arbs will go. Will be interesting to see the dutching section, which is now in beta.

    Hey,

Glad you are making your subscription charge back so quickly.

It is true that some of the higher rating arbs can have moved by the time you check with the bookmaker site, there is a few reasons that this can happen, I've tried to explain some below....

    1. If Oddsmonkey reports an arb then this is often a result of a bookmaker having out of line odds so, by default, the bookmaker will be likely to check and rectify this as quickly as possible. But I guess most of you know all this already.

    2. Oddsmonkey is based on data feeds from the bookmakers and there's a small few that on occasion are not quite as fast as we would like to update. Where possible, we are working on this and some data feeds have improved after us chasing with the bookmakers. In the future we may investigate scraping some websites if possible for certain sports/markets if the data feed we have is unreliable. We aim to continually look at ways to improve OddsMonkey.

    3. The more Premium users we have on OddsMonkey, the more people could be looking to get that bet on before the odds change and this, in itself, can cause the odds to change before you get to check the odds.

Item 3 is one of the main reasons that we have decided to increase the Premium price to £8 for non-TGT members, we know it will likely result in fewer signups but this will mean there's less competition for you and that the service continues to be one that you can use to make money on arbs and make "matched betting" a lot easier and save you lots of time.

Welcome to the new Premium members, may your first month be full of profitable activity!
