Warning: Spam PMs

I've just had a spam private message sent to my test account on the forum. The message reads along the lines of 'hi, I'm new here....' and contains a link in the signature and importantly the user has zero public posts. It appears as though this spammer has been posting private messages for about half a year now.

If you receive a message that looks suspicious, please use the 'report PM' button to report the message, screenshot coming up...!:

(open the message in question and you should see the triangular 'report PM' button as in the picture above ^)

Alternatively you can contact me or any of the mods to report it and I/we will look into it.

Was the signature a quote from Buddha? If so, that guy has been randomly hitting us up for months now. How annoying.

I only got it on the munktest account I was using for testing so it's fairly random.

I downloaded the db and queried it and it turns out Jessie has sent around 1800 PMs since they joined back in May 2008 but the post count is zero!

Looks like 'Patricia' is another PM spammer too, post count zero, identical messages although only around 50 sent.

Only thing bothers me is if someone clicks on one of the links the spammer has in their sig and something dodgy happens...

I got one the day after I registered here with something to do with Buddah elightening my life. I deleted it as I couldn't see a way of making money out of it.

Could I bet on Buddah and dutch it against Catholicism?
